New Start

Scarlett P.O.V

I woke up early to get ready for my new school. I brushed my teeth, did my skincare and put on make up, straightened my hair a bit. I wore green cargos and a white nike sweatshirt and walked downstairs to the kitchen.

I grabbed a few things from the fridge and put it in my bag then filled water and left at 7:27am for school. Diana, my childhood friend, came to pick my up with her car that she got for her 16th birthday. It is my first day in this school. I was sitting down on the swing next to my porch as I was inhaling the fresh air. "New school. New start. New friends" I said closing my eyes. I waited 2 more minutes when Diana reached my house.

I walked over to her car and opened the door to the passenger seat and hugged her.

"Hey, how are you, babes?" said Diana. She had two curly strands sticking out from the sides of her space bun and was wearing a beige crop top that hugged her waist and brown mom jeans. She also had matching brown sunglasses on her head.

"Heya...I'm fine, just nervous"I said with a light laugh.

"Oh come on babe, there's nothing to worry about."In an effort to cheer me up, she said." I'll introduce you to my friends, and I know they'll adore you." Okay, I have to admit that her magic did have some effect on me. I gave her a smile and then pulled out my phone to check my unread texts.We reached the school and oh my god..nervousness fueled me again and it was showing on my face. No matter what I wont let the past repeat itself and I will try my best to stay away from drama.

Diana could see my nervousness as she came off the car and locked it then came over to me and held my hand squeezing it a bit. She smiled at me and so I smiled back softly. As soon as we walked into the building, Diana let go of my hand and jumped on a guy, I heard about her boyfriend but never met him. He had brown skin and curly dark brown hair. He was wearing a jock jacket with ripped jeans that were a bit loose, he also had a chain with a key and I saw Diana wearing the same one with a lock.

I noticed there were a couple of guys with him, like 2 more. I then walked up to Diana so I don't get lost.

The guy was hugging her back. They were both talking and he told her how great she looked as I saw the visible blush on her cheeks. They were adorable.

Diana introduced me,"So guys, this is Scarlett, you know, the cutie I was telling you about." They all turned to face me and smiled. "Hey I am Asher Parker, the boyfriend." after saying that, he gave Diana a firm embrace and shook my hand with his right hand.

"This is-" he was then cut off by a guy beside him with the most gorgeous blue eyes, "-Chase, nice to meet you and Diana wasn't wrong about you..you are beautiful." I was immediately taken aback by his words as he winked at me "No chase, I care for Scar and you aren't going to try shit with her." Diana scolded him. "what do you mean?" he said so innocently and Diana rolled her eyes.

Then I noticed most people in the hallway's eyes focused behind me.

I turned around and saw a guy walking inside the building and all eyes were on him. Who was that I had thought to myself. Then Asher yelled "Yo Noah!" as the guy walked towards us and dabbed the guys up with a following side hug. His name is noah..damn he is fine as hell.

The man then spoke in a rich, husky voice, "Hey," to Asher, Chase and Diana before turning to face me and asking, "And you are?" with an arched brow. He made such close eye contact that I completely forgot how to speak at that point. Since I am 5'4 and he was roughly 6'1, he was a lot taller than me. He had dusty blue eyes and black hair. He had a silver chain, 2 bead bracelets, a nike wristband and 1 more with a sting and an N initial.

"if you are done checking me out then answer my question, who are you?" he asked again and I felt embarrassed and I replied, "I-I wasn't checking you out, I'm Scarlett. Scarlett Garcia"i said the last part with fake confidence, well at least fake it till you make it right?

"Shes the one I told you guys about, the new girl but shes also my best friend."

Diana spoke out. Then I was pushed by a girl suddenly and tripped over on Chase. "what the-"I muttered out. "woah chill babe, fell for me already?" Chase said with a smug smirk. "Ugh as if." I then got up and looked up to see who pushed me and noticed a girl with dyed blonde highlights on her brunette hair who was wearing a yellow plain short skirt and a white crop-top with floral sleeves.

She was hugging Noah. Must be his girlfriend or something. Noah then pushed her off him not too harshly, " Of course its you, the most annoying girl on this planet, god leave me alone Sophia."he said, guess not but damn that was harsh. "baby, cmon I have missed you so much, I didn't see you this whole summer break, don't you miss me too?"the girl said. "No I do not miss you the least bit Sophia, and I wish that summer break was longer so I wouldn't have to see you for longer time."then the boys burst laughing and I then saw the girl's face turn red and it was surely noticeable so I saw Noah's lips turn into a smirk then. The girl was gorgeous, she had siren eyes eyeliner and fake looking freckles on her face. I would kill to look like her.

She girl turned to me and walked over. " I don't know who you think you are girl, but you stole Noah from me. I noticed how he was staring at you. If you keep talking to him, expect no good.

I'll destroy you." she said with a smirk and a red face. "Oh I'm sorry, are you triggered by me and that insecure you had to threaten me" Her taunt creeped inside of me, but I didn't show it. "Well, just so you know, I don't follow orders." I smiled at her even though I was on the verge of passing out. She gave me a menacing stare before leaving. Everyone went to their classes after the bell rang.
