Chapter Text

"I thought you weren't interested in straight affairs?" Ally asked, her tone teasing.

"Oh, please, I'm just not interested in Steve's affairs. That guy is dating a new girl every night, I just don't have the patience to listen to him go on and on about it anymore. I would love to have such a wide selection of love interests, but I don't, so hearing him complain can be a little frustrating." The taller woman explained.

"You, however, are a treat. I have never heard you show any interest in anyone. Now, what is the situation?" Robin asked with an impish smile.

"I want him, and I am almost positive he wants me too, but I am not one hundred percent. He mentioned wanting to show me off, and then he seemed really embarrassed that he said it out loud. I mean, that sounds like a romantic interest, right?" She asked, opening her locker and grabbing her gym bag.

"Totally, unless the guy is a complete moron, like Steve, then he is definitely interested." Her friend agreed, leading them to her own locker.

"So, I was thinking of making a move at lunch, but then I got worried that maybe that would be too aggressive, yeah know?" Ally whined.

"Girl, be aggressive. It is your signature attitude, you are aggressive, violent and yet so damn loving and affectionate. You will fight anyone who looks at us wrong, all while smiling sweetly. You are in many ways a monster, it's a good thing. Stay true to yourself, and get that dumb boy." Robin cheered, walking into the changing room.

"I guess so, I keep forgetting you actually know my behavior outside of school." The shorter woman confessed.

"I do, I really do. I love watching you fight, it is like watching a jungle cat take down a water buffalo." She tried to explain, smiling at her friend's snort.

"Please explain that image to me." Ally asked, her eyes shining in mirth.

"Ok, well, you are like, really tiny. Because of that, normal sized dude seem really big and big dude seem like giants, and you take them down anyway. You are just unbelievably cool and it is just really fun to watch people underestimate you only to get their asses kicked." Robin finished, her hands moving wildly.

"Big cats and water buffalo, got it." She chirped, laughing when a shoe was tossed at her lightly.

"Damn, you weren't kidding when you said those were healed already." The taller teen gasped, looking at the tattoos on the backs of her friend's calves.

"I know right, they came out beautifully. I also got one behind each ear, same deal, finished healing." Ally added, showing off the small ink pieces.

"Oh my god, is that an anchor for Scoops?" Robin asked with a cackle. Steve was going to love it.

"What, we became friends because of Scoops. It was essential to bringing down a terrible organization." The woman defended playfully.

"This is true. Still, I can't believe you went and got it inked on your skin." She all but squealed, very pleased despite her light teasing.

Moving over to where the coach stood, students gathered around him, she shrugged. Ally didn't really speak in gym class. She followed instructions and tried to avoid Jason. He and his cronies were already staring her down, tempting her to give him the finger. The boys were play basketball, while the girls would run five laps before playing badminton. She wanted to roll her eyes at the typical outcome.
