Chapter 29: Berserk vs Impulse Part 1

It has been a week since Takemichi's exciting birthday. The warm hugs and the encouragement from the people that he loves really brought his spirits and his mood up.

He was in Providence headquarters for his training seminar he would have to perform to check his physical health status. He was inside a private meeting room and waited for Madame Carlisle to instruct him, which felt off to him.

' Its weird, why did Madame Carlisle needed me to enter into the meeting room instead of the gym? Does she have to inform me on something? Maybe a new mission?' Takemichi contemplated.

20 minutes go by and Takemichi is waiting impatiently for Madame Carlisle, who is usually never late, ever. He heard the door open and assumed that it was finally Madame Carlisle. Not feeling the need to turn around, he waited for her to walk in front of him, but he just heard silence.

" Madame Carlisle? Is something wrong? Your never late to our meetings. Did something happen?" Takemichi asked. What he heard was not what he expected.

" Takemichi..."

Takemichi's eyes widened in surprise and anger as recognizing the voice that he hasn't heard in a long time, a voice that he was trying to avoid. His heart beated rapidly and his breath was shaking as he instantly got up from his seat and turned around to see him.

" Mikey?...." Takemichi murmured.

Mikey was right in front of him, after so long. He wore a turtle neck with a pants suit instead of his regular pajamas out of respect for the agency's required attire. Mikey's charcoal eyes stared straight into his, his emotionless act angered Takemichi even more. Completely seethed to see Mikey in front of him.

" I know this is unexpected Takemichi, but it's good to see you again." Mikey gently smiled. Takemichi was not taking that, he just continued to scowl at him. Mikey got the hint not to create small talk.

" Let me make this quick, so I can get out of your way. But I have a offer for you, Takemichi." Mikey started with, nervousness was in his heart. He stared at Takemichi's eyes.

' He looks like he wants to kill me on the stop, but don't worry Takemichi, you can do that soon.' Mikey thought. Mikey took a deep breath, then said what Takemichi did not expect.

" Fight me, Takemichi."

Takemichi was confused on what he just said. He thought that Mikey would try to convince him to forgive, or probably try to force him to do so, but he never expected Mikey to want to fight.

" What?" Takemichi mumbled.

" I want to fight you Takemichi. If I win, we can have a proper talk, just the both of us, and you would have to forgive me. If you win, I will individually end this alliance on my own and spend life in prison. You won't ever have to see me again." Mikey explained with a serious face.

Takemichi's eyes were glued to the ground, contemplating on this offer. A million thoughts running through his head on possible outcomes. Suddenly the door opened, and it showed Takemichi's team barge into the room, livid of finding Mikey.

" I knew you would force your way to Takemichi!" Daniel shouted as he grabbed Mikey by his collars and slammed him to the ground. Mikey yelped from the sudden gesture.

" When we got the call from Draken that you removed your ankle monitor, we knew you would come here. I should've killed you when I had the chance." Lila snarled while putting her heel on n Mikey's neck, Mikey grabbing the heel to preventing it from piercing his throat.
