CHAPTER 10 - Can I Really Even Tell you That?

AS Tsukasa asked that question, you tilt your head sideways. "What do you mean?" You seemed genuinely confused, wishing Tsukasa specified when he asked.

"You know! When you walked in the door your face was all red and one of your hands were on your cheek! What was that about?" Tsukasa says, giving more detail and emphasis as to what he meant.

You felt your heart suddenly stop for moment. "O-Oh! Uhm." You immediately divert your eyes away from him. How the hell could you tell him about what happened? It's not everyday that you find your closest friend kissing your older sister on the cheek...

"U-Uh." Tsukasa looks worried about your hesitance. "Is something wrong?" He asked. "N-No! No, I'm fine. I just..." Your voice lingered.

"I... It was because uh..." You quickly tried to come up with an excuse in your head. It would be very awkward if you told him the truth. "...I thought there was something on my face so I hit myself and I accidentally hit m-myself too hard that it made my face red."

Tsukasa tilts his head, but straightens it and has a concerned look. "You should really be careful! Also don't ever resort to hitting yourself, it's not good for you." He said.

You couldn't believe it; just how in the world did you convince Tsukasa that's what happened? It was obviously not the answer and there was stuff to contradict it, yet he still bought it. You just laugh nervously. "H-Haha, sorry. It's almost like an instinct if I feel something crawling on me."

"It's fine! But honestly, I might've d-done the same." Tsukasa mutters. "Oh yeah, you're deeply afraid of bugs." You state.

"You say that like you forgot..." Tsukasa mumbles, slightly annoyed. "S-Sorry." You say almost inaudibly. Tsukasa looks at you. "It's okay! I'm glad it were just that though. I was worried it was something serious!"

   You awkwardly laugh. "Yeah..." Tsukasa then hugs you with the biggest smile on his face very tightly, catching you off guard.

   "W-Woah—" You mumble. "The Star himself welcomes you within his presence by hugging you!" You pause as Tsukasa spoke, then hugging him back.

   "Mhm." You say, then you feel your phone vibrate in your school uniform's pocket. "A-Ah?" You let go of Tsukasa and he looks confused until he sees you pull out your phone.

   "Oh..." You say under your breath. Somebody sent a message to you; it was Rui. He was asking you about how the conversation with Tsukasa went. But Rui texting you was just another reminder of him kissing your cheek.

   Your face becomes a rosy pink as you open the message. "What is it?" Tsukasa asked. "Nothing... Just give me a moment." You laugh awkwardly and Tsukasa nods. "Okay!"

   You began to type back very quickly, your fingers moving at a rapid pace as you semi-aggressively typed with your thumbs. You told Rui that it went fine and that both Tsukasa and you were on good terms again.

   Rui typed back to you saying he was glad that it went well and then said he had to continue working on something so he said bye to continue working on it. Your heart felt a little strange thinking about how he halted his work to check on you.

   Putting your phone away in your uniform pocket, you let out a soft sigh. You suddenly give Tsukasa an awkward laugh. "Sorry about that..."

   "Hahaha! No worries, dear sister; do not apologize for such a thing. You're good!" Tsukasa says with his hands on his hips with a bright smile.

   "If you say so..." You mutter, making Tsukasa appear flabbergasted. "Trust me! It's okay!" He says, still smiling. "Alright, alright."

   Tsukasa stands up. "I'm going to go to Saki's room to be there in case she needs assistance. Do you need anything before hand?" He asks, you shake your head shortly after he did.

   "Alright! Let me know if you need anything dear sister, okay?" Tsukasa smiles brightly. You nod. "I will." You say in reassurance.

   "Good!" Tsukasa begins to walk away and then you stand up. You couldn't help but feel guilty on the inside for lying, even though it was most likely necessary and... extremely unbelieveable.

   You look at Tsukasa who's walking away and soon fading away out of sight. You look down, having the guilt swallow you whole.

   Truly, it may not be that bad if you think of it in depth more, but what mainly made you feel guilty about it was the fact you secretly enjoyed it and that Rui is Tsukasa's closest friend.

   "Is it even normal for friends to kiss each other?" You ask, mumbling to yourself under your breath. You were kind of sure that it's probably something that friends don't usually do, but just tried to shake it out of your head.

   "It's probably not that big of a deal. I don't think he meant anything by it." You mumble under your breath, trying to give yourself reassurance that it probably wasn't anything too major even if it didn't feel right.

   Letting out a sigh, you began to walk back to your room and start to think more about the situation as you did. As you walked, you held your head down.

   "This is all such a headache." You say, mumbling to yourself as you put your right hand on your bedroom doorknob and push open the door. You shut your bedroom door and immediately go over to your bed.

   You stare at your bed before climbing into it, yawning. You pull out your phone from your uniform pocket, putting it on the charger and setting it on your nightstand.

   Laying there in your bed, you couldn't help but wonder what was to come; today was chaotic enough already and just wanted the week to be over with now.

   Those thoughts soon made you tired, along with you not moving around and feeling tired from the running  you did. You tried to fight off the urge to fall asleep, but you soon succumb and fall into a deep slumber.
