Their hands firmly grasp one hand each from a pair of dry, calloused hands that hoist them up to the same level as the owners. The hands belong to a certain set of piercing, icy blue eyes. "We could take the high way." Speaks a fairly well built man, partially coated in grey spots that look caved-in in some places. He almost looks like he could fall apart at any second. "With all this ammunition I've been carrying in my inventory?" Asks a platinum blonde man with a short, shaggy hair cut tastefully paired with buzzed sides. The way it comes out of their mouth sounds almost disappointed.

A split dyed being trails behind warily, seemingly not as experienced at this as the other two. Their bright purple eyes dart around quickly to almost everything that makes a sound. They don't want to be there but they'd follow the pair anywhere. Even if it meant their days ended in a storm of bullets pelting through their body as quickly and effortlessly as hail falls from the sky during a thunderstorm.

The man looks just past his blonde friend to make sure the bright green and pink haired being is still following the pair. He almost hates dragging his old friends through this with him. Almost. If it weren't for the fact he wasn't either of their keeper and they could turn around and leave at any point, he would feel sorry. That and the fact that they've all put each-other through quite a bit at this point and she's most certainly not an exception to that fact. Even if they truly never meant any harm.

If you were to ask the group of friends a couple years ago how far they'd follow one another blindly they'd probably answer with a resounding "nowhere is too far." However, this isn't the same world they all grew up together in. Almost all of the townspeople had either been killed as a byproduct of some petty disagreement between some of the most powerful members of society or ran off to who knows where to get away from the sad excuse of a government the trio founded.

The partially withered man, Chilled Shadows, treks on strong thinking of all the ways the laws he wrote in attempt to protect everyone were used against him. How their colleague, Belle, who was in charge of the health and well-being of the cabinet and townspeople had used loopholes and easily misinterpreted laws to legally utilize dangerous magic to bring back life into organs harvested from the undead for the still living.

As his torch dies he steps over a skeleton that's very clearly been downed for a long while, he peers down a cave that's been lit up with soul torches. He heads down the re-discovered section of the cave, beginning to look out for a specific detail he placed in the beginning to know where the city the group raised began. He pushed down a chuckle as he thought of the irony of placing the split dyed being with scaled wings, Niihoi, in charge of making sure everything ran as a cohesive machine.

She was born and partially raised in a monarchy based in The End before moving into a quaint house she built in a few days a couple  thousand feet from his very own. At the time it seemed like a perfect role for her since they should be used to viewing everything with a fair eye, keeping safety of the people as a top priority. The dragon forgot to mention a major detail though that the government she was taught to run was incredibly corrupt. Oh, and they took off her own parents heads in a nervous breakdown.

As a spider turns and runs at the group from the side the see-through blonde, Golding, takes it down. Niihoi pulls out a sword to help fight it off but she's too late as the spider is already dead. The phantom-esc guy who's almost as tall as Chilled Shadows but not nearly as built was set to be the historian of the city. One wouldn't typically think it would be such a sin to mess up that kind of job. However, when you're at the root of all the arguments and fights one may be more biased as to what happened and why in their own favor. The changing of history books became a major problem when everyone would research a past event to see who was at fault when and where to see someone else as the perpetrator in place of Golding.
