aaliyah hayes grew up in a small city in ohio called the plains. whenever she met someone outside of the city, nobody really knew where it was. it would take her quite some time to explain to somebody that had never heard of it, where it was.
in all honesty, she enjoyed it. with it being a small town, the community felt super close and she knew almost everyone in the city, especially those she met in school.
there was never a doubt about it, aaliyah had loved theatre and acting her entire life. ever since she was little, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with her life. with this, she took every opportunity handed to her to fulfill her dreams.
she'd join theatre in middle school, and landed most lead roles in the majority of her high school years. it was almost as if her dream was already coming true with the roles she was able to achieve.
since she was known at her school for landing a majority of the lead roles, most of the school had known of her name and how sweet of a human being she truly was. she'd do anything for anyone, especially her best friend she met her freshman year of high school.
they had met towards the beginning of the school year, when aaliyah had gotten lost in the school. sure it was a small school, but she still had no idea where the english wing was. that's when she accidentally bumped into a figure that stood much taller than her.
he was a grade above her, but nevertheless offered to help her find her way around the school. and just like that, the two of them hit it off. they were as close as friends could get.
there were always rumors that they were secretly dating, but that thought never crossed either of their minds, until years later.
aaliyah watched as he fell in love over and over again, and at the end of each relationship, he found himself running back to aaliyah for comfort. while the idea of him running back to her after each breakup seemed odd, the girl didn't mind it at all.
she was never upset with him. she didn't let it bother her. why? because with each girl that he dated, he became a better man and she fell for that.
she was falling for him.
