Chapter Six: Unrelated From the Past

Everyone has different coping methods when they lose someone. Some cry their hearts out, some distract themselves, and some choose to suffer in silence.

hat can you do in the middle of losing someone? You don't know how to get rid of the heavy burden in your heart, and the only thing to carry out is making sure you'd grant Ai's last wishes. "Chiyo! Look!" Tsukasa came with a big smile, as if he was a child bringing a medal for his mother. But, instead of a medal... he's gripping another apparition on the collar. "I got you a present!~"

"I don't need that."

"Oh, I'm sure you do!" He refuted.

Your head turned to the side, hoping to get a little helping hand from an ally. But Sakura just continued sipping on her cup like it's another normal day. "Please, get that away from me." Your expression hardened at the sight, scurrying away from the psychopath and choosing to sit beside Sakura. "Awh, come on! I was thinking we should play tag, and the first one to find him will get the chance to dissect his body-" Before all these thoughts could finish processing in your mind. Tsukasa got cut off by the horrid scream of his victim, who heard all of his plans. You even turned to the side with an exhausted expression.

Today was the second day of meeting Tsukasa, or you should say.. meeting him again. Even though he said that he doesn't give a damn that you don't remember him, he continuously gets upset whenever you don't recall the alleged past you shared together.

Just yesterday, you found that you two are at the same age. You both also died in the same year. He said, prior to the incident.. you two were always together and were practically inseparable. You can't really be the judge of it, but based on his comfortable approach to you, he seems to be telling the truth.

"Why can't you play with me?" Tsukasa heavily stomped his left foot, looking at you with the biggest pout to ever exist. "Because what you're doing is not playing."

"Then, what is 'actual' playing?" Good thing he asked. You stood up, approaching the male with delight all over your face. The other apparition, who was beyond terrified of the child holding onto his collar, flinched at the touch of your hand. You softened Tsukasa's grip and left the victim free. As soon as he was out of Tsukasa's reach, he ran faster than the speed of light. "What was that for?" Tsukasa stated in a sullen tone.

"I'm teaching you how to play for real." You took his hand and dragged him outside without much thought. This kid could have a lot of potential if his brain is a little less cracked.

"Do you know how scary it is to walk here at night?" Tsukasa shuddered from behind. You frowned, looking back at him and almost believed those lies. He was literally walking these halls when he grabbed a victim by the collar. "Do you even know where you're going?"

"Hush." You continued on your steps and made sure to keep your brain working to find the stairs that led upstairs. There was one destination that fits well with the game you had in mind.

"Why are we here?" The male looked above, having to appreciate the beauty of the outside. As you've never seen one like this yourself, you also paused in awe. You never knew how beautiful it is in person. Ai once saw a constellation and mentioned that it is a paradise, but you will never see it in person because she said that this view was already destroyed long ago. You never thought you'd take a glance of it from a window and now see it in person. "Isn't it pretty?"
