Sleepwalking

"Okay, I guess we better go Luke, it's kinda late." I reluctantly say, this day has been really fun and it's great to see the boys back together and happy again. But it is getting late, and I'd rather not be exhausted in the morning. I know how nights with these boys go, and trust me, it's full of fun but you never remember anything the next day.

"Uh yeah, okay. Sorry guys." Luke stands up and we both say our goodbyes, hugs and kisses on the cheeks. Michael grabs my arm on the way out, and says quietly so only I can hear, "You guys together again?"

"No" I whisper back.

"You should be. He loves you. And seriously I felt like such a cockblock." I shoot him a small smile as I continue to walk towards the door, following Luke's long legs. I'm so jealous of them.

"Ready for the drive back?" He asks.

"Yeah, I guess."

We get settled in the car, and prepare for the long journey back. I know I'm bound to fall asleep on the way, and Luke does too as he hands me a blanket to wrap myself in. Musty's small meows can be heard from the backseat, and I reach over and grab her and sit the carrier on my lap, whispering small reassurances to her until she quiets down.
"You and your rescues." Luke smiles from next to me.

"They can't help themselves, so I help them."

"Fair enough."

The rest of the ride is very quiet, apart from the occasional meow and the radio playing. Eventually my tiredness got the best of me and I found myself drifting into sleep.

When I woke up, I was already in bed, with Musty cuddled into my side. I'm guessing Luke carried me inside and tucked me in. If he did, that's incredibly cute. I smile to myself, and lay down on my back and stare at the ceiling, thinking about how much I love him. I then hear a few bangs out in the kitchen, and then hear somebody stumbling down the hallway. I get up to investigate. I grab whatever is next to me, which turns out to be Musty's cat carrier. I hold it up in front of me as a shield, and walk slowly out of the room, one step, two steps, three steps. I make it halfway down the hall when someone steps out of a doorway.

My scream echoed off the walls and the cat carrier makes a soft thud as it lands on the carpet. "Shit! Luke? What the fuck are you doing?" I hiss at the tall boy in front of me. He doesn't respond, just keeps trying to walk past me. "Luke?" The scene reminds me of one in the past, when me and Luke had a 'sleepover' and i woke in the middle of the night to him trying to get up the stairs. I was eight, so I was scared and not sure what to do. I later figured out he was sleepwalking. I sigh, as I realise he must still have this problem. "Okay. Back to bed." I gently grab his arm, and lead him back to his room. I stumble a bit when my feet hit an uneven piece of carpet, and I curse. I don't have much trouble finding his bed, and once I do I gently push him onto it and pull his covers up over him. I laugh at the pattern on them, firetrucks. Of course, who would expect anything else from Luke. As I turn to leave, his hand catches my shirt. "Stay". I pause. Usually when people sleepwalk they have no idea of what's going on around them, right? "Okay?" His body relaxes as I climb under the covers and turn to face him. He opens his blue eyes, and they meet my brown ones in a unforgettable gaze. "Was I sleepwalking?"

"Yeah, I tried not to wake you".

"Usually Teddy finds me, sorry".

"It's okay".

His hands are cold as he grabs mine and tugs, silently asking me to move closer. I shuffle over until our knees touch, but apparently that isn't close enough. He grasps my waist and drags me over until my head is up against his chest and our legs were entwined. "Well hello". I giggle, and relax in his hold.

"Hi" he whispers back. I start to get a sick feeling inside of me, like I'm doing something incredibly wrong. But it feels so good. To be held, to feel warm and comforted. A piece of me knows I'm giving him what he wants, and a piece of me knows that I shouldn't trust him because of what he did. But I'm stupid and I'm going to lay with him anyway.

I'm woken up by Luke shifting, and the suns hurts my eyes when I open them. I hiss and close them quickly, and hear a boyish giggle from next to me. "What?" I ask grumpily.

"Nothing, it was just like.. like you are a vampire and the sun burns you so you hissed". Apparently saying it out loud makes it so much funnier, because he bursts into laughter and starts clutching his stomach. I climb myself out of bed, but not before giving Luke an unimpressed look. He tries to calm his laughing, but I probably made it worse with my facial expressions. Every time he looked over at me, the laughs started up again. I started to make my way out of the room, hopping quickly to the rug so my feet wouldn't get too cold on the wooden floor. "Aw, don't go. Morning cuddles are the best." I hear the boy behind me say. I stop for a moment, but then remember the sick feeling I got last night, and leave the room. Behind me I leave silence. My heart is tugging and pulling for me to go back, but my brain is focused on walking away. I make it safely to the kitchen, where I find Teddy making breakfast. "Wait, so you said other people live here, like a gang. Where are they?" He looks up, and shrugs.

"They leave early in the morning to do stuff. I prefer just to stay home, not get involved in that business."

I give him a 'what the fuck bitch' look. "Oh, but you were up for kidnapping me?"

He rolls his eyes, shoving the egg tray back into the fridge. "That's different honey. I was doing it as a favour for Luke."

"Wait but you said you weren't 'that kind of gang'." I raise my eyebrows at him, and he shrugs, grabbing some butter out.

"I lied".

I shake my head, and decide I've had enough human contact for now. I head back to my room. Musty jumps from the bed and trots over to me, and I suddenly feel guilty for leaving her last night. "Hi baby, did you miss me?" Her tail swishes around my legs, her cheek brushing them. I pick her up, her tiny body resting against my chest. Suddenly her head snaps to look at something behind me, and I slowly turn around, praying to every lord that it isn't Luke. As soon as I see the flash of blonde hair, my whole inside sighs. Why can't I just escape people for like, two minutes. I put Musty back on the ground, and finally take a good look at the boy standing in my doorway. He's holding the bag of cat food, and looks kind of shy. "You can just put it there if you like". I said, just pointing down to beside my door.

"Thanks."

Before I know it, I'm pinned against the wall, with one very attractive boy keeping me there.
