Later that night, I found myself thinking about Drew all the time and it didn't feel right. I was thinking too much about that stranger, and because of him I couldn't even sleep.

Therefore I went to the lobby for a small walk since the manager wasn't there. It was dark and there was pin drop silence.

Then I heard the elevator's sound and I stood still. I just hoped it wasn't the manager and my hope had turned into a truth.

It wasn't him but it was the guy who I had been thinking about. He walked out of the elevator with a girl who had blond hair. In haste, I hid behind a wall and looked at the couple. The girl was beautiful. She had eyes of an angel and her luscious hair were long. She was shorter than Drew, who had his arm around her waist as they walked towards the door.

Drew kissed her passionately before seeing her off. The girl drove away and he came inside the hotel. I felt blank. And I couldn't help but make a low whimpering sound which made Drew look towards my direction.

He spotted me and made a low grunting sound. My mind didn't know what to do so I just stood there with a dumb face. I hated myself when I acted like this.

Then he uttered his words huskily. "Go to sleep. You have to clean my room tomorrow, first thing in the morning."

Saying that, he walked away, leaving me to stare at his back as he moved in that rhythmic manner which was so hard to ignore. What brought me back to my senses was when I realised I was standing in the lobby with my pyjamas on and there was a risk of the manager coming out of his room so I hurried back to my room where Emma was sleeping peacefully.

I lay on my bed, with my heart thudding uncontrollably as my journey of the sleepless night began.

The first thing in the morning was to get up and clean Drew's room. I didn't sleep the whole night and I felt drowsy. My eyes had bags beneath them which were spotted by Emma who found it perplexing.

"You didn't sleep the whole night?" She said while fixing her hair. "Girl, are you crazy?"

"I couldn't sleep. It felt weird and-" I stopped when I thought about Drew. I couldn't tell Emma. She would mock me and tell me false stuff. "I have to clean a room now."

Emma stood there and kept mumbling some words as I collected the equipments and left the room.

The manager knew where I was heading so he just gave me the key without a word. I went upstairs to Drew's room.

As I entered the room, I found Drew packing his bag. Upon seeing me, he stood up straight. "Can you start with the kitchen?"

"Yes, sir." I accepted his request and walked towards kitchen.

When I started mopping the floor, I couldn't help but stare at him as if he was a creature from another type of a planet. He didn't notice my glare and I didn't let my eyes off him. But when he looked at me, I quickly averted my gaze.

"Arlene, I sort of need your help." He called out so I placed the mop in a corner and approached him.

When I reached him, he asked me something which confused me. "Do you know how to sew clothes?"

"I do, sir. Why did you ask?"

"Can you fix this button on my shirt?" He held out his hand in which he carried a small white button.

I nodded as I took the button from his hand. Then he slowly unbuttoned his shirt, which seemed like ages to me. But my heart raced faster and faster as each button was separated from the other part of the shirt by him.

When he finally removed his shirt, it felt as if my heart would leap out of my throat.

"Here, take this. I'll get the stitching box." He handed me the shirt. But I was busy staring at his perfect body. Just seeing it made me dizzy.

I took the shirt and turned around before he could notice my face which had turned like a red tomato.

Gosh, why did he make me feel like this? I took a deep breath before turning to face him again which actually helped me calm down but I felt as if I needed a glass of water.

Still shirtless, he handed me the stitching box and I opened it to take out a needle and a white thread. I worked on it while standing.

Drew's phone started ringing and he hurriedly received it. "Yeah Taryn, I'll be there soon, love you babe." He said it in one breath and hung up on his phone. "Could you hurry?"

"Yes, give me a minute." My fingers moved fast, pulling out the needle and then pushing it into the shirt again. Because of this hasty movement of my fingers, I accidentally poked the needle into my thumb.

It hurt a lot. The blood poured out of my thumb and I tried to hide it from Drew but he saw it.

"Arlene! Are you alright?" He held my hand. His hand was warmer and larger compared to mine and it was rough but I just wanted him to hold my hand a bit more longer.

"It's fine." I was trembling in pain and my voice was shaky.

He shook his head and without warning, he sucked my thumb gently, wiping away the blood which had been there.

"The needle went deep inside you skin. It might hurt like hell."

"No, sir. I'm fine." I pulled back my hand.

I completed sewing the button and handed the shirt to Drew who wore it.

"You're leaving, sir?" I asked.

With a slight smile, he nodded. "Yes. My girlfriend and I are having a date today."

"Oh." I smiled. "She was a beautiful lady."

"Yeah, she is. There is no one like her." He said as he fixed his long hair. "Anyway, you can clean the room, and then you can leave."

Drew quickly wore his watch and left the room. My heart felt as if it was burning. Why did I feel this way? What could I call this feeling? Was it jealousy? It couldn't be. I didn't even know Drew and I had no right to be jealous over his girlfriend. He could date whoever he wanted.
