1 | Who Are They?

It was one of those nights when nightfall came with a whisper of perfect darkness, growing into a comforting chorus of stars. Beneath the sky, the scattered clouds, and the shiny gemstones stood the beautiful city of Seoul.

A city with a pretty nightlife, amazing street food, gorgeous monuments, and lovely people. Everyone who resides here lives a pretty simple life, students busy with their school, adults with their usual 9 to 5, and the senior citizens busy with appreciating their last moments.

Within this pretty city lived a lovely friend group of eight boys. They were called the privileged ones, born with golden spoons in their mouths. In school, they only ever hung out with each other, throwing away anyone else who tried to come in between their friendship, at home, they would have sleepovers together, partying like any other spoilt rich kid would.

The oldest of them was Bang Chan, the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Bang, while the rest of his family decided to live overseas in Australia, he continued his studies back in Seoul. Chan, a very meek, charming guy. He almost radiates dad vibes, judging by how he treats his friends. Nevertheless, the guys knew that whenever they needed help, they could always count on their Chan hyung.

Then comes the second oldest of them, Lee Minho, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Lee. His friends lovingly nicknamed him 'Lee Know', and as much as he tried to show them he hated it, he couldn't. Because at the end, his friends' love, affection, pulls him closer to them, making him internally melt inside. Minho was likely a tsundere, or his friends believed so. He always acted cold from the outside, showing that he didn't care, but in the end, he always came to them, showering them in love and compliments in his own way. Lee Minho was definitely one of a kind.

Then there's Seo Changbin. Also known as the foodie of the group and the irony? He was also a gym guy. Though being a little shorter than all friends, he definitely was the strongest. Changbin is that one guy whom you wouldn't expect to have such a good humour. He made his friends laugh well, feel well, eat, and do well in their ups and downs. He sure was a little clingy, his love language being skinship. He loved hugging, kissing, and spending quality time with his friends. It made him feel a lot more content.

Then you have Hwang Hyunjin. The dream guy of every girl's fantasy, the kind of guy whom every boy was jealous of. He was one serious and intimidating person. His crackhead and the 'drama llama' side were only open to his friends. Hyunjin was the type of guy with many admirers, someone who received hundreds of love letters each day, but he didn't care about it. Instead, he threw it away, making sure to step on it a few hundred times before tossing it away into the dustbin because he had only one person reserved in his heart.

Next, Han Jisung, an adorable squirrelㅡlike boy. He was the laughing pill of the group, making his friends feel better in their highs and lows. He was surely a little dumb and slow, but also pretty smart. People admired him for his personality because he was kind and courteous, though he was rich, unlike most of his friends. And though being smart, he was most likely the first one to get kidnapped because of his naivety. He was a of the socialㅡbutterfly of the friend group, due to which his friends always had to drag him back to their group because he would somehow forget his 'actual' friends.

And then we have Lee Felix. Another Aussie boy living alone in Seoul, similar circumstances with Chan. He was the sunshine of the group, radiating happiness wherever he went. His smile would lit up anyone's day, no matter how good or bad. He was an enthusiastic aussie, finding happiness in the smallest of things, whether it was a butterfly flying or his coffee having the right amount of sugar. Felix was a beam of light, a ray of hope, and a home to his friends.

Then there's our second youngest, Kim Seungmin. Our Minnie, our dandy boy, our world. He was a precious puppy to his family and his friends. No matter how savage his comments were, how dirty his questions were, he would always remain innocent in front of his friends. He was a hidden genius, academically or not. A lot of his friends relied on him for help, advice for whatever their problem, Kim Seungmin was there to help. He was one in a billion, his smile made millions smile, and his cries made the world cry. Seungmin would look a little clueless when you'd first meet him, but he's a master of concealing his emotions, the best deceiver of them all. But he sure is an innocent, angelㅡfaced puppy in the form of a human from the outside.

And lastly, our youngest, Yang Jeongin. A foxㅡlike boy, who is the definition of 'angel face, devil thoughts' Jeongin was different in his own way. He had his own ways of showing his love. He had his own ways of always escaping away from a problem. Jeongin was pretty slow and dumb when you'd first meet him, but like Seungmin, he was a genius. Which made him and the puppyㅡlike boy partners in crime. Although he was smart, he didn't flaunt that fact to his friends. Because as they say, smart people don't need to prove they're smart. That was his motto.

To the world, they were an inseparable group of people, loving each other unconditionally without any limits.

But only some, inside of the group, knew how toxic their relationship was. How bad everything was getting the more time they spent together.

Only they knew the consequences of breaking the friendship rule.
