Being the only one who is in love wasn't easy for Jake, he gave up on his love so that his beloved one can live happily, without any complications but unfortunately he still managed to bring complications in his life. He will never be able to free himself from this guilt.

Even though he was left with no option, Jake still can't forgive himself for dragging Jungkook into this situation. But what can he do now? Nothing but living with this guilt which was slowly killing him. In the process of keeping his family safe he put his love in danger.

At the end Jake realized he was still a loser who was continuously losing in life.

Jake's hand reached to knock on the door of a certain person, the personal assistant of the owner of the room was calling out his name from behind but he couldn't care more about it.

"Hey! I've been calling your names so loudly that the whole building can hear it. How come you don't hear me?" Eunji says between his pants, as he was trying to catch his breath. The poor man was literally running after Jake, shouting his name but the other literally ignored his experience which caused him to shoot glares.

"What are you doing here? What do you want?" Eunji asked, knotting his eyebrows but before even the other could reply back, both of them heard a deep voice from the room.

"You may come in." Upon hearing Taehyung, Jake reached his hand to grab the doorknob to twist it open.

Eunji couldn't get any chance to say any more words to Jake as the other male stepped into the room and closed the door afterwards. All he could do was stare at the wooden door in confusion.

Taehyung wouldn't lie, he was a bit surprised to see Jake in the room. He never thought Jake would have the courage to meet him face to face after what he has done. It's not like Jake has said everything to him but after knowing Jake was the one who took Jungkook out of the house the day Mr. Jeon kidnapped him, Taehyung was very sure Jake was helping Mr. Jeon.

But he didn't confront the male out of the blue, he had some other plan for Jake.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Kim." Jake greeted the man politely who was sitting on a chair. Taehyung was about to reply to him back but he was stopped on his track when he watched Jake placing an envelope on the glass table.

Narrowing his eyes at the paper, it didn't take much time for Taehyung to realize it was a resignation letter. His gaze immediately shifted at the man who was just standing in front of him.

"I'm really grateful for choosing me as an employee in this company but for some personal issues, I would like to resign from my position." Jake infroms, eyes looking down, not having the courage to make eye contact with Taehyung.

Without saying anything Taehyung reached his hand to grab the letter to read it. Both of them kept their silence as Taehyung read the resignation letter. Once he was done reading it he shifted his gaze at the other male standing in front of him.

"Are you sure you want to resign?" Taehyung asks, he was pretty sure Jake had made up his mind before handing him this paper but still he wanted to ask him the question.

"Yes, Mr. Kim."

"And your reason behind that is some personal issues?" Asked by Taehyung as he noticed the other male tensing up a bit. Of course both of them knew where the conversation was going.

"The only rule I want every employee of this company to follow is not mixing up their personal lives with work. But it seems like you couldn't keep following this simple rule." Jake just stayed quiet, he doesn't know what he's supposed to reply back.

"Do you think I'm still unaware of the things you have done?" Taehyung takes a sigh after getting no reply from Jake.

"Jungkook has always considered you as his good friend but I know it very well you don't just see him as a friend. And I don't have any problem with that, I can't control everyone's feelings. Loving someone is not a crime. I don't know what forced you to do what Mr. Jeon told you to do but I know there must be a valid reason behind that. If you're wondering how I'm thinking of this, it's because of course who would want to do something like this to someone they love? And I don't think you'd do something like that just for revenge." Jake immediately shifted his gaze at the man who was speaking, he was surprised after hearing Taehyung.
