It was a beautiful day even though the sun was penetrating through the clouds, the sky was a beautiful shade of crimson blue. I was in the bus listening to Taylor Swift as everyday, and I hate the people who're like "uhh Taylor is basic", like what's basic is your way of living. It's been two weeks of me attending the college and everything's going perfect just like I want my life to be.
Saksham is my friend now and through him I've also got to make so many more friends. It's so fun in break when we all are seated and just talk to new people, joke around and try to translate the native languages of people from different state or country.
It was a Monday and my first practical class of remedial biology. I've was the first one in the lab and I heard some commotion coming from the other lab. Then I saw Saksham coming in to meet me he greeted me saying, "Good morning, how are you?"
"Good morning, I'm great but why are you here so early?" I asked him while doing my work. "I could ask you the same but I reach here this early everyday", I nodded not even looking at him. "You're sitting on top of the shelf wait till someone comes and gives you a umc scare", I sarcastically said. "I'm not going till the teacher's in class", Saksham said. "Fine then. waste you're time looking at me while I'm busy working", I told him. "I won't mind looking at you all day", he said giving me a flirtatious look. "Shut up and get out", I said faking disgust him while hitting him with my pen. "Oh looks like I'm interrupting something", a girl said while entering the lab and keeping her bag on the rack and collecting her lab coat.
Saksham doesn't leave a chance to make conversation with anyone, so he just jumped off the shelf and went on to talk to her. "Are you guys like living together?", she asked me. "We live in India Irene, living together isn't a thing for us and we're not dating", I laughed it off while explaining her the difference between Indian and western cultures as she was from Nigeria.
After the practical was over, I went into the classroom where I was met with a huge crowd surrounding one chair. And on that chair was sitting the one and only everyone's favourite ,Saksham. "Do you want a coffee?", he asked me as I reached where he was sitting and plopped my bag on the chair next to him. "Sure let's go",I was about to go but he said, "No need I'll tell someone to bring". "Sure okay if someone is going there they can bring us while coming in the class", I said as I seated myself on the chair. "By the way tomorrow is a concert here", a guy in blue flannel shirt said. "We should go", Saksham said me. "Yeah I think it'll be great", I replied him.
As it was the dispersal time, me and Saksham were leaving the class and he basically walked me till the main gate when he had to go from the other gate. As we were reaching near the gate and I was about to go to punch my id card so I could get out of the college. Saksham stopped me to say me goodbye and he went in saying, "You know everyone in the class thinks we're a couple". "But we aren't", I said giving him an obvious look. "I have a boyfriend Saksham", I told him. "I know that", before I could question it he continued saying, "I know from day one and I'm not your friend because I like you or something", he said to me in such a way which made me feel good and bad at the same time. I felt great while talking to him, Saksham was a great friend.
I reached home and talked to my boyfriend on phone which was basically our routine. I felt not so contempt. With college and travelling I get so exhausted that the time I reach home I just don't have the energy to talk to anyone let alone fight, which was happening every single day. The reason being the same that I chose a college 50km from my city and that wastes my time of travelling. I mean it is difficult that me and ishan don't have the same college not even the same course which leaves us to talking for 1 hour on phone and we text for 1-2 hours after that. And the worst when he keeps saying, " you should date someone from your college, I can't give you time". I texted ishan good night and thought about how to spare some more time from my day and talk to ishan.
