"He took something from me, I simply have done the same."

"Here we are, Sunset Lake*~!" Your aunt hums in delight as you pass a large old sign, paint peeling away with age, yet the font remained readable. You responded with a nonchalant 'mhm' and continued to reblog and like various posts on Tumblr, an obvious scowl on your face. She sighs at your lame response.

"Look, [f/n], I know you didn't like the idea of moving schools for a year." She says. "You know you can't stay at home alone! Your guardians wouldn't approve."

"I could just stay over [b/f/n]'s house you know, Ellie..."

"You know how paranoid they get, sweetie." Ellie replies, laughing. "That reminds me of your uncle. He was so overprotective of me. Best big brother ever. And when I met your other aunt..." She shudders at the memory, chuckling light-heartedly afterwards.

"Yeah yeah..."

"But really, you'll love it here." She stops as ducks waddled across the road, tapping her finger on the wheel impatiently. After all the ducks had crossed the road, Ellie drove on. "After growing up here all my life, I'm assure you, life here isn't as boring as you think it'll be."

"It's a small town in the middle of a forest, far from the nearest city, gets black outs often and contains only three schools, one private and two public." You roll your eyes as you listed things off. "The signal here sucks and there aren't that many shops. Of course I'll love it here." You end your sentence coated with sarcasm.

"Don't forget the laaaake~."

After a few minutes on Tumblr (a rather slow few minutes), you log off and put your phone away. You look out the window into the damp forest. It's like looking into the colours green and brown endlessly. Grey clouds covered the sky today and a large veil of mist that draped over Sunset Lake. You buttoned/zipped up your jacket and shoved your hands into your pockets in an attempt to keep your hands warm.

Your aunt, Ellie, hums to the music that played on the radio, horrendously out of tune.

She drives into the thick forest, passing many trees, soon fading into fields of tall grass. You begin to see smaller stone paths leading to buildings. More and more buildings began to appear and roads leading off to more rows of buildings.

The car turns towards a building with a small parking lot, stopping in a parking space.

"I need to pick up some things for dinner." Ellie said, grabbing her purse. "Can you help me or at least take a look? You can pick want you want, but some things may be unavailable..."

"Anything to get me out of boredom." You sigh and got out of the car and shutting the car door behind you, making your way to the supermarket with your aunt trailing behind you.

You mentally groaned at what you saw inside. It was small, smaller than the usual supermarket and mostly consisted of vegetables, meat, eggs, milk, bread, the usual essentials. There were two or three people, picking out various produce. A young looking cashier stood behind the cash register, giving you a bright smile and a loud,

"Hola! Welcome to Carriedo Family Produce! Newcomers and their relatives get twenty percent discount for a week!" You stopped and looked back at Ellie who responded to your glare with a sheepish smile.

"What? Opportunities are meant to be seized!" She laughs before skipping off into the aisles, leaving you alone with the handsome cashier.

"Where are you from, chica?" He asks, leaning on the counter and fiddling with the scanner. "You don't look familiar, and I know everyone that lives in this town."
