Even though Jay complained the whole time, Tasi finally made it to the monastery. A sacred place where the ninja stayed.  Tasi met every ninja that day: Kai, Cole, Jay, Zane, Nya, Lloyd, Pixal, & their master Wu. Kai was Nya's brother, Cole was the heart of the team, controlling the element of earth must be difficult. Zane & Pixal were Androids, robots with emotions. Lloyd was the leader, holding the elemental power of life & energy, he could do anything. & finally, their master, Wu. Tasi was especially fascinated by his long beard. She thought he must have been at least a thousand years old at that time.

"Do you really think she'll be safe?" Lloyd asked Nya. "I actually think way more than that," Nya responded. "What?"

"I think we share the same powers," Nya's explanation made Lloyd's eyes widen. "Really?" he asked. "She controlled water & didn't even realize it, but I do think she knows that isn't like every other kid."

"Are you gonna tell Wu?" Lloyd asked as he turned to look at Tasi who was sitting down, looking at her shell not too far away. "He'll find out soon enough," Nya replied.

Later that day, Nya's brother Kai also called their mother, Maya, the former water elemental, to come help. Nya didn't like her mother, mainly because she was abandoned as a child, even though it wasn't her mother and father's fault because they were kidnapped, Nya still holds her grudge.

"Nya! Dear! Or you poor thing. Look at you, Kai told me all about what's happening & I don't want you worrying any longer," her mother rambled. Tasi noticed Nya's father, who was caring for what must have been thousands of suitcases. When Maya saw Tasi, she was even more eccentric.

"Well hello darling! Now, what are you wearing?" Maya asks, looking at Tasi's yellow cardigan. Tasi looked down looked back up at Nya's mother and shrugged. "Can't you speak?" Maya asked. Tasi, being a bit intimidated, grabs Nya's hand & steps behind her. "She's only seven, give her a break." Nya mumbles. Her mother ignored her. "No young lady should dress like a dirty boy," Maya complained. Tasi furrowed her eyebrows and crossed her arms.

"Anyways, bring the bags in Ray!" Maya called out to her husband. "Ignore her, she's just being old-fashioned," Nya told Tasi.

As the morning came, Maya began to annoy Tasi even more. "Up, up, up, darling. Let's go wake up my daughter," Maya said as she dragged a half-asleep Tasi out of the room. "Oh my!" Maya exclaimed as she realized Nya's messy room. "Let's tidy this place up. Spears belong in their racks, & shuriken and throwing stars belong in the shuriken and throwing star bin." as Maya ran around the room making a bigger mess trying to clean up the mess, Tasi snuck out of Nya's room.

Later in the day, Nya couldn't help but complain to Master Wu about her mother. "There has to be something you can do, she's driving me crazy!" she cried. "She just wants to help, Nya, give her a chance," Lloyd's mother, Misako told her. "Perhaps you should talk to your brother, Kai might be able to help," but he didn't, he was a bit of a mama's boy & didn't understand his sister's annoyance.

Eventually, Nya found Tasi at a nearby pond & waterfall. "Hey, Tas," she said as she sat down next to her. "What are you doing?" she asked. Tasi pointed to the crystals at the bottom of the pond & looked up at Nya. "Did you see those yesterday?" Nya asked referring to the river situation. Tasi shook her head. "What do think the shell is?" Nya asked before Tasi pointed to the holes on top of it. "Some type of instrument?" Nya asked. Tasi nodded. Nya sighed. "Sorry about mom, she's...weird," Nya explained. "& I'm sorry I haven't been letting you help." Nya apologized again. Tasi put her hand on her lap & nodded. "From now on you'll be able to help, understand?" Tasi nodded at Nya's words & smiled.
