{34} Family Dinner (pt.2)

We all walked off in the direction of the taster meeting.
Grabbing our seats, we all sat down.
This was going to be so boring.

Most meetings are.

I sighed and slumped down onto the chair.
All around us, were very rich people, like, almost on our level rich.

Whoever the owner is must be raking in millions at a time.
I bet he's rich, richer than us no doubt.

After a few minutes, I started to worry about Alessia, she had been gone for a while.
So I texted her.

Where are you? I'm getting worried.

Sia 💕 - Well, that's sweet and all but I am practically there.

I don't see you?

Sia💕 - Count down from 3

What is she on about?

I told Dad and everyone else that she said to count down from 3.
And so, in hushed whispers we did.

Once we got to 0, the speaker started.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, thank you for joining us this evening. Please applause for the owner of La Dolce Vita Ristorante." The voice then stopped speaking and everyone gave a standing ovation to the owner.

It was clear he was well liked.
Even though we were standing, we could not see him for there were masses of people in front of us.
The only thing I did hear, however, was the clacking of heels.

Strange.

Okay? I'll go with it.

I walked onto the stage confidently.
Everyone in the room, stood up and gave me a standing ovation as I walked through the doors.

From the stage, I could clearly see all of my family stood up.
But they could not see me.
Not yet.

"You may sit down now, thank you," I spoke politely yet with a hidden note of power that seeped into my voice.

Simultaneously, they all sat down instantly.
My family however, were quite slow to react.
They just stood there with their jaws dropped.

I smiled at them and gestured for them to take a seat, and they did.
They snapped out of whatever trance they were in and listened to me,

"First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming out here tonight," I smiled into the audience. "Today we will be tasting and trying some new dishes that me and my chefs have prepared for us,"

All at once, chefs and waiters bundled out of the door on cue.
They came with many, many plates of food and placed one on each table.

"Well, let's try some! You may eat,"I declared and they all started to eat and mingle with one another.

I sat down in the seat that Andreas had saved for me and began to eat.
I felt a sea of eyes on my face and turned to my family, who were staring at me.

"What? Have I got something on my face?" I got out a small tissue and dabbed at my face.

"Huh? No. How the fuck? What the hell? My brain has stopped processing," Giovanni rambled.

"I'll explain when we get home,"

I patted him on the head and got back to eating my food.
So tasty!
After a few minutes of shock, he gained his composure and started to eat the food.

"Oh my goodness, this is the best food I've ever eaten!"Stefano exclaimed.

Eventually, everyone in the room was finished and I stood up and went back to the stage.

"Now that you have tasted them all, please tick which food you want to be added to the menu, you can choose as many as you like," I gave out the surveys one by one to everybody, and greeted them as I did so.

Within a few minutes, all of them were completed, and I moved to collect them all.
Once I had all of them, I placed them onto a trolley and went back to the stage once more.

"Thank you all for coming to my taster meeting, I am Luxe Luminosity, thank you," I gave a giant grin to the audience and walked off the stage towards where we were supposed to eat dinner.

I used my business world name.
Most people know me as Luxe Luminosity, the richest businesswoman in the world.
But if you live under a rock like my brothers, then you'd think I'm a businessman.

As I waited for my family to sit down, I started to drink some wine.
Before I had gone to the stage, I did ask that the remains of our order be packed, as they were not going to eat it now after the tasters.
I sat down and looked across the room.

Until my eyes locked onto those eyes.
Eyes I never thought I would be able to see again.
Not until the afterlife at least.
Must be the wine.
For when I looked again, those dazzling eyes vanished into thin air.
I grabbed the bag of food, sipped on the wine til it was finished and placed both the cup and the food onto the table.

I need to piss.

Once they arrived, I went to the toilets.

As soon as I opened the door to the girls bathroom, I was slammed against the wall.

The fuck.

I grabbed the person by the neck and squeezed hard.
Unfortunately, they did the same thing and I could tell we were both turning purple, on the verge of passing out.
I swept my arms in a circle motion, which made their arms fly upwards, giving me the opportunity to gave it a strong kick to the chin.
Which sent them flying backwards.

Grabbing the knife from my bra, I pointed it at their neck.

"Try anything and I'll kill you," I muttered and I went to go and turn on the lights.

As I turned around, I realised that the person that had been fighting me was...
