(A/N:This chapter focuses on Zack and building up his character. Next chapter will go back to your/Marshmallow's perspective.)
Zack looks around to examine his surroundings, but he isn't at his school, where he last was. He isn't at his home either, He's in a funky looking dustbin, surrounded by trash. He sees his birth parents, Amile and Jonathan Binspin. He looks at his hands, they're little. He's little. "Are you sure I can have it?" a blue woman from outside of the bin says. "Yes. Please, we don't want him! We would be so happy without him!" Zack's father exclaims, sweat running down his very wrinkly, ugly face. "Okay..." she hesitates, before reluctantly picking Zack up. "His name is Zack Binspin," his mother says, relieved. "Thank you, Sally! We're more grateful than you'll ever know!" Jonathan exclaims. "Wait, but I don't know how to take care of a baby-" Sally stops herself, but it is too late. Jonathan and Amile are nowhere to be seen. "Oh well, I can figure it out..," she mumbles.
Before Zack can fully process what happened, he's at home with his new parents. The blue woman who is called "Sally" is delighted, and the living corpse called "Jack" is very angry. "Why would you take in this...critter?!", he spits, taking Sally by surprise. "Critter?", she replies, clearly insulted. "This stupid critter is in my house, Sally." "Our house! Plus, Zack Binspin is a wonderful baby, Jack!" Zack looks up at his parents, very confused. He found himself playing with his mother's hair, and putting it in his mouth. She didn't like that, but his father found it quite hilarious.
A few months later, Zack is singing a concert for his mother, a bunch of toys, the family dog, and a pile of bones that is NOT his father, but who he thinks might be his uncle. Zack can tell he's still very young in this memory, one year old at most. He can't tell what song he's singing, because most one year olds can barely fucking talk, but it was something about...rainbows...and factories? His mother looked a tad bit concerned, but she was delighted nonetheless. The family dog kept getting up to join him, but his mother would keep him down. His name is Zero.
One by one, memories are popping up, piecing together all of Zack's life. His first day at school, his father finally looking him in the eyes, and writing a very gruesome fanfiction about a cute famous pony show he liked. His severe emo phase, getting his first job, being fired from said job, his father giving him a bowl cut, and finally, meeting Simon Growl. That day, Zack was sitting in a funky dustbin, surrounded by trash, and wearing his headphones. Still in his emo phase, he was listening to Mr. Brightside by The Killers. He sang along, until suddenly the dustbin fell over violently, and an angry man with a Purdy on his head greeted him. "Hey kid, shut the fuck up," the man spits, "My name is Simon Growl. And I'm going to make you famous, because I need money. Get in my car," he orders. "Sounds tight, let's gooooo." Zack replies, following the man.
Around this time, Zack dreamed of fame. Yes, he wrote one of the most important fanfictions to a certain fandom he was a part of, but was that really enough? He wanted to sing, and he wanted to embrace the popstar lifestyle. His mother said he was amazing, his father paid him to stop sometimes, and Zero would do this weird spinning thing when he heard Zack sing, Surely that was enough reassurance for him! His friends at school liked his singing, but they also liked this other guy named "Dustbin Beaver'' so their opinions were not really trustworthy. Nonetheless, Zack had a dream. And that dream was going to come true.
Soon, Zack's top hit "Moptop Tweenybop"was released. Everyone loved it, and Zack was everywhere! With so many dedicated fans, he could do anything! His father even said "Cool." when he told him. His mother was prouder than ever, and Zack had made a new friend! His name was Blingo; Blingo the fox. Blingo was a bit older than him, but they were signed under the same label, and Blingo was featured on his hit song. Therefore, the two of them quickly became close friends.
