Chip POV

As the trio went further into the forest it got even darker. The only thing Chip could see was the small glow coming from Pirie's eyes and some greyed out everywhere else once his night vision kicked in, "how well can you see in the dark?" Chip asked quietly as to not disturb anything around and not to disturb Mangrove who was already asleep.

"I can see quite fine as the end isn't the brightest place though it's not that dark either, how come you're still awake, you overworld creatures do need sleep often." pirie said stepping over an overgrown root

"Yeah we do, I just don't feel safe out here... in this forest... do enderman sleep?" Chip asked curious to what Pirie's answer may be, "I'm just curious is all.."

"yes we enderman do but only every few overworld days... 3 days? maybe, also just for you to know if you don't sleep at all tonight i am not carrying you tomorrow for you to sleep." Pirie said with no expression in their tone.

"hhhhow about we find a spot to rest and continue in the morning??" Chip said with a small smile as if to help convince Pirie to stop so he could sleep.

"hmmm i don't need to stop im just fine, I could do this for another 2 days" Pirie said knowing that was not fully true as she was exaggerating.

"hmmm it's either we can stop and i could sleep and you could stay watch orrr i keep talking this whole time and i can tell you with 100% guarantee that i would be annoying" Chip said with a smile with the last part of his sentence knowing the would get her

Everything went silent for a while as Chip waited for a response "...sigh*...fine. You win, we can rest tonight, just don't expect me to stop tomorrow." Pirie said with an annoyed tone.

(supposed to be either finish an assessment or sleeping but i choose this... with a 10 hour loop of a song playing)
(Other writer here... they keep listening to the daycare theme from Security breach... they need sleep..)

Pirie POV-

"I reckon this is a good spot!, small cave, good lighting but not too bright and it's not in the open or in the ground" chip said happily pointing over Piries shoulder at a cave in the distance

"You sure? Isn't it suspicious that there is already lighting?" Pirie asked not 100% confident in stopping for the night.

"yep! It's perfectly fine, the players would always leave torches randomly scattered around this area plus it's a small cave that leads nowhere" chip said with a smile on his face.

"I trust your judgement, don't make me regret that." Pirie said with an agitated tone near the end. She sat down near the closet cave wall, setting the travel bucket™ next to her.

(Time skip)

-i can't believe i let that c a t make us stop and we would have to stop tomorrow so i could sleep. I would know but I don't trust this forest. it is understandable that Chip didn't like it... tho Chip is now sleeping as if we aren't still in this creepy forest.- pirie looked outside the cave to make sure nothing was still there -creepy... hmmmm this is boring..... Did I do this to myself?... Yes, yes I did, why did I bring company?... Are they slowing me down?... That sounds mean but I feel they are, I mean my people are dealing with the startups of war and I'm here with a fish and a cat. Why am I here? I Could have gotten someone more skilled to do this?... no skilled people are needed for the war. Pirie stop, you're spiralling, distract yourself and check if you still have everything in your bag.-

Pirie grabbed the satchel and put it in front of her and opened it up -hmmm lets see, map check, food supply  i haven't tried the food here but i don't want to, book, a crayon? Probably Mangroves doing, books, letters from the end asking for supplies anddd that should be it. Wait what's this?- pirie pulls out a pearl from her satchel -A communication pearl??, who would put this in... wait Z did, sneaky bastard-
