You've got to be kidding me.
She just had to be partners with Kaiden, and when she looked up she found Hunter's eyes on her, if he was thinking anything, she couldn't tell.

"You ready?" Kaiden asked, his eyes filled with mirth, it was as if he knew exactly what she had been thinking.

"As ready as I'll ever be," She said, trying to make the best out of the situation at hand.

"Jennings, James!" Hunter called, motioning for them to come. "Your task, "he said, handing them a slip of paper and promptly vanishing as if he didn't have a care in the world. Alex mentally shook her head and looked down at the task.

Follow the flowers till you reach the peak, stand tall, not small and find the basket travel back through the bubble door
Good luck

"Oookkeeyyy," Alex said, dragging out the word. And with that they made their way into the woods. The leaves crunched under their feet and they had still found no flowers. Alex was getting frustrated by their lack of process and Kaiden clearly seemed to notice. Grabbing Alex's arm and swivelling her until she was facing him.

"Relax, Alex we'll find it," Kaiden said in a smooth calming voice and Alex struggled to hold his gaze but he gently tilted her chin upwards making it impossible for her look away.

"It's not that," Alex said. Kaiden gave her a look, telling her to continue. "I just-,"she started, once she cleared her throat she continued, "I can't help but feel we've missed something," She wondered Kaiden's eyes glittered with understanding.

"Well in that case, let's keep looking" He said guiding her forward.

After what felt like forever of walking, they found a path of flowers. Alex sighed with relief only to have Kaiden remind her that they were nowhere near close, to being done and at that, Alex had drooped with though thought that she actually might be here all night.

They were following the path and had seen so many of Hunters traps that she couldn't count them. One being flowers of a slightly different shade that led down a different path and another almost hanging Kaiden in a tree if it weren't for Alex's quick warning. They only came to a stop when they had found the next clue, a tall rock and at the peak was the basket.

"Finally," Alex groaned but both she and Kaiden failed to notice the had minuscule gap in the rock and as soon as she started to climb it split in two and she was left falling down into a deep ditch, spraining her ankle in the prosses.

"Alex!" She heard Kaiden scream.

"I'm fine" she yelled back and Kaiden sighed with relief, "-but I think I've sprained my ankle"
