PROLOGUE:
Love was nothing to me at first but utter destruction.
It seemed only for the naïve, the desperate, and the dependent. It consumed the being of those foolish enough to involve themselves. Moreover, it causes the total obliteration of one’s existence to the world.
That is of course, before I met HIM.
I mean… HER.
Er…. I’ll get to that later on.
This very person made me naïve, desperate and dependent. I couldn’t focus on my tasks at the thought of that person. And tragically, that person has destroyed my will to love again.
But that wasn’t just it.
The said person had opened my eyes to a different world, the kind you would see on a little kid’s show. There were no troubles in life, and you could just skip through the meadows sprinkling rainbows and fairy-dust behind you. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end.
The story about to be told is based on true events, or is as true as it needs to be.
This story will revolve around my world, the world of Kristal Teschler. A strong girl who knows what she wants, she doesn’t take no for an answer. She is fiery, persistent, sadistic, humorous and logical – or so her friends say. Majority of the people call me Kris or Krissy because it sounds more suiting. These people are experts on being judgmental to others, however, when it comes to themselves they are nothing more than wannabe Simon Cowells. I often avoid these types, but I am powerless due to the fact that they are everywhere. The only person whom I can trust wholeheartedly is Ceara Linskott, who studies at Swittsrow Academy like me. We often hang out together after classes behind the bleachers and scare people, but this occurs lesser and lesser due to new security. We met after a fallout in the school cafeteria. Ceara screamed after being “accidentally” hit by a well-built senior, and I proceeded to vehemently insult that senior. Not long after, Ceara and I became best friends. Cheesy, right? Well that’s not all. This is only the beginning. ________________________________
