The morning sunshine that fills my bedroom on any other morning wouldn't bother me. Sure I'd frown with my eyes still closed, maybe a scoff would pass my lips, but then I would roll over and bury my face against one of my boyfriend's chests. The world would be right again.
This morning is different. The sun wraps all of the way around me alerting me to the fact that I am in bed alone.
I don't remember the last time I woke up in bed on a weekend morning alone.
I shift to my back and stare at the ceiling. Taehyung's heartbroken expression is my first thought and I immediately feel like shit.
I shouldn't have yelled at him the way that I did. He doesn't know the situations from my past that caused my outburst and it was wrong to accuse him of getting together with Yoongi to ambush me.
My sweet Yoongi.
I cover my face with both hands. He was so angry with me. Yoongi has never once been angry with me in the year he and I have been dating.
I don't understand why he was so livid, but then again he doesn't understand my hesitation at his confession. I need to talk to him, to both of them, but I'm not sure I am ready to travel down the road I have avoided for so long.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee tickles my nose. The scent brings a small smile to my face as I know that only one of my trio likes his coffee in the morning.
I drag myself out of bed and walk on shaky legs, keeping my thighs slightly apart. This is my usual post-sex-with-Taehyung walk. To some it might look like I'm hurt when in all actuality I just feel so wide that something as simple as taking steps feels like an adventurous feat.
As I near the kitchen, I pause to watch Jimin putter around. He grabs a second slice of toast from the toaster while still chewing the remainder of the previous piece.
He nearly drops the half-slice from his mouth and overcorrects his attempt at catching it accidently smearing some of the preserve topping onto his cheek. He either doesn't realize or doesn't care and he shoves the rest into his mouth before covering his second slice with preserves.
When he's done, Jimin brushes the crumbs from his hands and grabs his travel mug from the cabinet filling it with steaming hot coffee. My brows draw together in confusion because he only uses that mug when he's leaving for work.
I make my presence known and Jimin flashes me his gorgeous smile that makes my tummy fluttery.
"Good morning, honey," he says with a wink.
I lean in for kisses. "Good morning, Jiminie."
"Want some coffee?"
Shaking my head no I ask "Are you going somewhere?"
"New client request came through while I was sleeping. They are willing to pay great money but they requested ass crack of dawn weekend appointments. I'm assuming my colleagues haven't woken up yet to get the message so I took the offer."
"Oh."
Jimin sighs wrapping his arms around my waist to tug me closer to his body. He leaves an adoring peck on my nose.
"I'm sorry I wasn't still in bed when you woke up so you could hide your face from the sunlight. Can I make it up to you Monday morning?" He wiggles my hips and serves me a sweet apologetic smile.
I nod. "Okay. But I get extra snuggles tonight."
"Of course," he chuckles.
Chewing at my lower lip, I hesitantly ask "Is Taehyung still in his room?"
