Just like promised Onika, Lauren, and Amir pulled up to the hospital 30 minutes later.
"Lemme see my niece." I said sitting up when i seen them walk in.
"Well excuse you! We can't get a hey or a hug." Lauren said mugging me as she handed me the baby.
"Where's her car seat?" Solange asked.
"You know she hates that thing. Its in the car." Lauren said handing Solange the baby bag.
"Why they talking about you like you not right here?" I asked her.
She just smiled. She has no idea what im saying.
"Auntie missed you." I said kissing her cheeks.
"Excuse you?" I heard Onika say. I smiled at her. Ole jealous midget.
"I missed you too. Come here." I said scooting over and patting the spot next to me. She mugged me and stood there but eventually sat in the spot like i knew her stubborn ass would.
"I heard you were being a terrorist while i was gone." I said watching Amir do her tummy time on my lap.
"Was not." She said eyeing Solange.
"I ain't even say a name. That let me know you were." I said smiling.
"Whatever." She said rolling her eyes.
"Being true to her sign. Fucking sagiterrorist." Solange mumbled.
Soon a bottle was getting thrown at her.
"Oh shit. I forgot y'all was the same sign but I'm correct. You just threw a bottle at my face. Y'all just proved both of our points." Solange said handing the bottle back to Lauren.
"So, what's going on? You know with this heart transplant. How long do they want you to stay here?" Onika said.
"Well they said i could leave but it would be against medical advice. They said my heart is so bad, that my own excitement could kill me. They also said i could be here for days, weeks, or months. Quote on quote "its a lot that goes into picking a heart." Good news Im top of the list." I said replaying what the nurse said.
