chapter 5: who are you?

"We can definitey help you if you want to".

The very idea sounds too interesting for her but she must never trust someone so easily. The mind reader reveals the man's identity. She knew it. From the clothes he wore. She observes the old man. Sighing to herself, "I wish Carol would be here." Another shadow came up and that scares her. It might be the other scientists.  

A never ending hallway. The very sight she can see before her. An idea won't even come into mind that very moment. The mind reader is completely distracted.

"Wait up!" The two black figures were now rushing to her side. 

Why are they following me? she thought to herself as she run. She turn from different direction, dash off from left to right. It was a never ending labynrinth. Wherever her feet brings her, she just can't find the way out. Nonetheless, the two men following her lost track of themind reader. It was all because of her powers. She knows their next move. Smirking to herself, Rhia goes the other way around. 

"Where is she? I hate this jiggy."

"Hell! You're no teenager to say things like jiggy! It's a labynrinth we made 16 years ago".

It was unthinkable but they just did. The labynrinth was made to track down the babies supposed training as they grow but it all ended up like this. It will be troublesome to take care of the babies that time. There are the goverment agencies to hunt them down and other group of species that had the same interests proving their theories. 

Breathing for some air, Rhia sitted on the floor leaning on the nearest wall. Yet, the footsteps alerted her. Two figures approaching her way. "Where did that girl go?"

She focus on reading their sense of direction. Smirking to herself, she dash off opposite to the direction where the strangers planned to go. Falling several times, she finally reached the dead end. But fate sure is tough, she finds more strangers coming from the outside take the exact exit route she's about to take. Unfortunately, using her reading spell twice, her body weaken.

"I can't take it-" Loosing her balance, a strong arm catches the lightweight figure of the mind reader. 

"Do you think she's one of you guys?"

"I think so. I have the feeling all along. From the very beggining."

FLASHBACK

"Brother, are you sure about this?"

His eyes wandered and two girls caught his attention. The original plan is to take the scientists off their hide out. He's one of the babies taking his action for revenge. Sure to himself, the two arguing girls in sight were one of the 8 babies that time.

"OPEN SESAME", one of the girls shouted. And that's how his theory was proven, the gate opened as if obeying a spell user. 

"Aren't we going inside?"

"No, we'll be waiting here for further results. They must have the same purpose".

Her litle sister nooded in agreement. 

END OF FLASHBACK

 "She's loosing her strength. It was more likely, her powers were drained". 

"This will end everything." Grey bring all his stuffs out from his bag. Lots of arrows and bows were brought all along as they traveled.

"What? You bring that many?" The curious small girl smiled after the shock. Again, that's her brother way of bringing heavy loads upon his shoulder alone. After their parents died, he traveled with his sister and protected her. All enemies bow down to him after every battle. One arrow and they're dead.

" But why do you have to bring so many this time?"

"Haven't you realize it, kitty?"

'What's with kitty?' she cursed silently. 

"The persons I will be bringing down this time were the one who experimented this". Angst, it was completely in his voice as he moved her right closed fist hand near his heart. The cold treatment? Experiements? Babies? It pisses him off. The wind blowing hard remove his hat off. His natural black colored hair suits his feature. As he pull the string with his mighty arrow, Lily lighted the match.

" Wait! Stop what you're-"

To the siblings amazement, they were now staring at the klutz. Rhia trip over a small stone.

"T-that was dangerous miss", the little girl reprimanded with her low voice. Her weaken body can't cast a spell at the time being so she let Lily go.

" You should rest more. Don't worry, we're comrades. I will burn the old house and you'll be-"

" No! You must not do anything or else!"

"Or else what miss, read my mind?"

"How did you-?"

"Can't you understand by just looking?" Holding the bow and arrow with his hands, it will be the judgment day. She can completely understand what exactly is going on by the time being. But, she must not trust anyone. Nevertheless, If situation like this one came, choosing will never be a good option.

"I understand but my friend was kidnapped".

"By the scientists?"

"No! No! She's one of us".

"What? You must be joking".

"Sorry but I'm not Joking. And I guess my theory all along the way is right"

"What do you mean?"

"The strangers following me are the scientists. They are offering something to recover my friend but I did not accept. I'm so low."

"You did the right thing, mind reader"

" You stupid! Don't keep on calling me time controller. I do have a name. Call me Rhia."

"Rhia, huh?"

The trio stand on guard as the mage appeared behind them. With a quick chant, the mage disappeared again leaving them with nothing but her laughter's echoing. 

"Stop right there!" The two scientists wearing their white clean clothes, run after her shouting. 

"Catch me if you can" The mage said playfully.

" Where's Carol?"

"Who knows? Where would be the time controller or your so-called-friend by now? Why not ask the scientists! Hahahahaha." 

This can't be happening. Where will be Carol by now? I must find her. This is all my fault. If I hadn't let my curiosity get into me, this will never happen in the first place, she thought. Her mind is into chaos.

No! I can't accept this! Bring her back! She's the only friend I have! 

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............

"Brother, what is happening?" 

" This couldn't be". The scientists can never guess it. The whole place and existing things turn into nothing but GRAY. The color of being lost. Carol was lost into time. They are now time travelling. 

"It's Carol. She's nearby. I can sense her".

When will the time travelling stop?
