I lit my cigarette with my lighter, it took some flicks before a flame got to come out. Placing the cigarette in my mouth as I burn just a centimeter of the toxic I will soon inhale. The cold breeze blew as I walked further towards this person. Hood up over my head, my pocket knife being gripped more harder as I make it to my destination. The hoodie person looked up, I could only see his eyes as they shimmered from the lamp post. He stood up from the bench he was leaning against, but didn't make any other moments.
"Are you Adam Murray? From Werksha High School? Who also contacts the Bythorne paranormal club?" I just went straight to the point, not wanting to make any sugarcoat. Adam seems surprised from who he was talking now to now then Sarah from the call. He took note before letting out a small chuckle.
"Seems I'm dealing with the Founder's boyfriend?" I cough at the statement before I could even exhale the smoke. Making it a little difficult to recover, only coughing out smoke. I shook my head at Adam, only to get a stare from him. He moved closer, his whole figure appeared right in front of me. I could see his fluffy blonde hair that washed over his blue eyes just by a little. But one things that took me was his height, for some reason his eyes excited me. It was probably because I was still on that high when Sarah turned me on in the computer room. Adam leaned over me like a monster, smiling down at me.
"Now now. I just want to go over and check your true intentions for joining. Ok. So Adam Murray…" I looked up to him but without being my head up to his. I could only met his black hoodie with his school logo on it. I gave a sigh before backing away a little.
"Why wish to join the Bythorne paranormal club? Even if you went to another school across town?" Adam nodded as he took my cigarette out of my mouth before dropping it to the floor and stomping on it. I just gave a half ass laugh before shutting my mouth. Just grinning my teeth together to not lose my cool. I turn back to the car where Sarah had a camera pointed it at us. But of course, like ways the camera only detected Adam not me. I turn back towards Adam and took a deep breath.
"I wanted to join because I was very interested in investigating alternate. You guys do investigate alternate, right? Plus, smoking kills you…" Adam did take some time to read my reaction of anger but wasn't satisfied with me not overreacting too much. I nodded my head in response, then taking out a small book from my back pocket.
"We do, I make sure that Sar- I mean our founder doesn't get any close encounters with an alternate of any kind." I pulled the book I had, it was a small bible but more disguise as a cigarette holder. I pushed another cig out before trying to find my light, Adam pulled his and light it up with no problem. I thank him before burning my new cigarette.
"That's exciting! I'm so in, don't mind to be pay for a while. But of course soon like this week." Adam smirked at me before retreating his lighter. I sigh to his response but it would be no better time to test himself for tonight.
"Alright then. We have a job for tonight, willing to come?" Tilting my head as I stare at his outfit. More of a straight guy but it seems he's more to himself. Like a dick, he reminds me of Craig. A character from South Park, who is really rude but also gay. But that was before all television were illegal, even since I would watch TV in my hide out. Though it was highly dangerous but things have been on the low.
"I'm down, I could follow you guys. I want to see this in action." Adam walked out from the hiden tent we stood under, walking up to his car. I could tell it was stolen, it belonged to see family down the street from our house. I didn't judge, in this county, it's live or to be killed by an alternate or yourself. I followed along his side, before giving him a glare as I departed.
