The gap toothed girl

As I step onto the blue steps of the pink school bus and wipe my teary eyes, I see probably 60 kids on pastel blue seats, in rows of 2. I sigh in annoyance, and I start to look around for anywhere to sit. I look to the left, nothing. I turn my head, and there on the right is a beautiful girl with split dye hair, half black, half blonde. She was wearing the same uniform as I was, but she had embroidered flowers on the sleeves, and seemed to have dyed her uniform a pastel purple. We made eye contact, and she smiled and looked down, her gap in her two front teeth gave me butterflies.
"O-Oh wow..." I mumbled in awe out loud before realizing I was still looking at her and I averted my eyes so fast.
I was cut off by another train of thought. A blue boy with a white and blue ruffled uniform shirt, with the same words, "K-12" on a heart embroidered patch in the front, Is sitting alone aswell.
"Who should I sit next too?" I thought to myself. I obviously wanted to sit next to the girl but I still did want to have another back up plan in case she didn't want me to sit next to her.

Just then, as all the kids were screaming and yelling and laughing, the blue boy threw a paper plane at the beautiful girls face, cutting her cheek. Her eyes started to water and she touched the paper cut.
"What the hell dude!?" I said aloud. My eyes began to turn from the usual color to a faded black. Ive had these abilities or "powers" ever since I could remember. My very first memory was making a squirrel fly out of a tree, merely from a toddler thought.

I ran towards the girl and sat down. I turned to her and spoke nervously.
"Hi! I have an extra bandaid in my pocket that I found, may I put it on your face? You're bleeding."
She looks up at me with her big, deep-brown eyes and nods. I unwrap the band aid and place it on her cheek.

"There we go! You're all set. My Name is
Y/F/N Y/L/N! Nice to meet you!"
I held out my hand smiled at her shy expression.
She shook my hand and shyly muttered something, but I couldn't hear her.
"Hm?" I questioned. I've had bad hearing since I was little, plus the loudness on the bus made it worse. I felt bad that I couldn't hear her because being so shy, it was probably hard to speak up.
"My name is Melanie. Melanie Martinez. And thank you for the bandaid Y/N." She smiled. I was shocked to hear her voice, angelic but could be scary if she was mad.
"No problem!" I smiled. I looked down at her hands, and her beautifully coloured nails.
"What did the note say?" I politely asked.
As she passed me the paper, it read "Gap toothed bitch." Melanie pouted as she read over my shoulder, and her eyes started to tear up. Most of the kids on the bus began to mock her and yell.
"Crybaby! Wah wah!"
Melanie dug her hands into her face and began to cry. I swear I was about to lose my shit when suddenly, a girl with two space buns called out from the back of the bus.
"Shut up!" She yelled angrily. The girl had the same pink uniform I did, and when she yelled, her eyes turned black. I was surprised when everyone shut their mouths as she yelled. I smiled at her and looked back at Melanie.

I felt so bad for her I didn't know what to say. I lifted up her chin and wiped the crystal blue tears from her glistening eyes.
"Don't listen to them, they're entitled and jealous of you. They only make you miserable because they hate themselves." I spoke clearly. She jumped on me and hugged me tightly, completely taking me aback.
"I-I'm sorry for being a c-crybaby...!" She muttered. I wiped her eyes again, being careful not to smudge her makeup, (which looked beautiful, may I add) and looked at her.
"Having the capacity to feel and express emotion are one of the many quality's that make you, you. And I think you're very very charming and sweet. So don't worry about them, okay?" I smiled while moving her hair from her face. She pulled away and looked at me. Her eyes were watery and her cheeks were rosy, and I think mine were too, but I'm not sure of the reason.
"Thank you." She smiled. I smiled again and I let go of her. After that we talked for awhile about random things like,
"What's your favourite colour?" I asked in a silly way.
"I love green. Natures beauty always makes me happy." She responded with laughter.
"That's so adorable." I thought with a smile. But what came out was,
"Me too!" I sounded like an eager puppy. No one ever made me act this way. I was confused and annoyed at my weird behaviour, trying to pull myself together when I saw the girl with the space buns come over to us.
"Hi! I'm Celeste! Nice to meet you ladies!"  She held out her gentle hand and after I shook it, so did Melanie.
"I'm Melanie! Nice to meet you!" Melanie said cheerily.
"I'm Y/N, nice to meet you Celeste!" I proclaimed. Celeste sat down, and after that we all got to know one another better, and when we were tired of talking, I eventually fell asleep as I was staring out of the window.

(I procrastinated this part for a good hour or two.🗿stay tuned! It gets better....)
