as soon as jisung stepped foot into the student council lobby; an agonizing, high octave, shrieking scream echoed intensely through his eardrums.

flinching, his palms pressed against the side of his head, two voices of his best friend's groaning behind him proved to be in a similar situation as him.

when he'd realized the source was the junior he wasn't expecting to be seated inside, he was reckoned to recognize him.

the small flustered boy seemed just as startle as them, with his hand thrown tightly against his mouth- like as if he hadn't realized he could create the catastrophic noise which still caused his eardrums to remain in vibration.

"jeongin?" he recalled the name at the tip of his tongue, attempting to approach him calmly despite the ruckus his friends were forced to listen to at the earliest crack of dawn, "i didn't expect you to be here, or do..that—"

"i'm sorry!" he suddenly began apologizing, bowing indefinite times to express the amount of guilt he felt.

truthfully, it wasn't as big of a deal for him to feel such regret since it wasn't exactly a harmful act- it was temporary and for a few seconds maximumly. yet, it did startle the living daylights out of him- especially when all the three had stayed up past midnight at their sleepover last night.

he couldn't even get the taste of his morning caffeine, yet his high pitched voice did help him in waking up a little.

"it's fine," he stopped the latter from his bowing stance by placing a comforting hand on his shoulder, "is everything alright? did something startle you?"

"not exactly—" again, he voice went weirdly high and shrill. jisung went to question on it again but caught his eyes drifting towards elsewhere. "but i wouldn't say i wasn't either."

he whipped his neck back to catch him paying attention towards the two of his best friends who were placing away their binders and submitting the attendance register of their perspective classes.

"i didn't know he was going to accompany you." the redhead began, retrieving jisung's attention. "you never informed me!"

"well, you never mentioned meeting up here before." jisung shrugged, not taking a clear understanding at why the blame towards his actions was being directed at him. "how was i supposed to inform you?" he could also catch onto the fact that the cause for jeongin's intense reaction was only because of a singular person when he used the affirmation 'he'.

"i barely prepped myself this morning!" the younger began to panic, "i wore something way too casual because i hadn't planned any interactions with people," he looked down at his attire of a stripped pale blue and white shirt with cargo blue jeans, "i barely made my hair!" he plucked strands of his own cola tinged hair, "i didn't wear any makeup!" he now rubbed his hands frantically over his face.

"jesus, calm down.." jisung reached out to stop him from ranting further and drowning himself with more complains, "why are you this frantic today?"

"i don't understand. you look just fine, what's the need to prepare yourself so much because of meeting a particular person—"

oh.

it then clicked.

jeongin seemed to have catch on that the brunette had taken a full understanding towards his words.

"no, no—" he frantically spoke, hurried to not let jisung's mind wander off to places, knowing that he would be exactly correct. "it's not what it sounds like.."
