Rubbing my eyes, I got up from the floor slowly. I go to the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror.

God, I look like a B-I-G ol' mess. I looked around and picked up the brush, brushing my hair out (obviously). I put down the brush and wash my face, brush my teeth, etc. I look down at my body and realize I need to change.

I pick out a regular outfit (light jeans, gray Adidas, grey shirt). I put it on slowly and take my keys. I almost forget a small purse and put snacks inside.

"Ciao." I leave without saying anything else.

I start to walk to the park. I look down at my shoes. They're really nice shoes, quite comfy too.

While walking, I notice a dog on a leash. I look around to see no one in sight. I kneel down to find it has no collar. The dog's eyes fill into traumatizing fear. I reach into my purse and take out a piece of graham cracker. The dog stares at it.

Is it thinking of trusting me? It's probably thinking that it wants the food, but cannot seem to trust me enough... Sounds like me.. Except, I was betrayed.

I walk closer and it growls, but I show no sign of fear. I put the piece on the floor and it immediately eats the piece. I keep a straight face and take out another piece and leave it in my hand. The dog stares at it and then me.

I push my hand forward. The brindle pitbull slowly eats from my hand. I smile very slightly and pet it slowly. I move to the pole its attached to and take the rope off very slowly. I loosen the rope around the dogs neck and inspect it.

The dog has a few scars.. Maybe it was in a fight? Dogfights. Where the darkness of nightmares happen for these dogs.

I walk home with the dog and feed it occasionally on the walk. We stop at a water fountain and I press hard so the pitbull can get water.

At home I inspect more when I shower the dog. It is a boy, and I'll name him Ohana.
