The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden hue upon the city of Akko. Olivia Obi, known affectionately as Liv, strolled through the familiar streets, her mind filled with the warmth of the day's memories. The fragrance of blooming flowers danced in the evening breeze as if nature itself celebrated the love that bound her and Jackson Eze, her beloved Jack.
Their love story had blossomed under the watchful eyes of the town's inhabitants. Akko was a place where secrets were scarce, and the tale of Liv and Jack had become the town's most treasured legend. Their love radiated like a celestial beacon, drawing the envy and admiration of all who witnessed it.
As Liv made her way to their favourite meeting spot, a small café nestled in the heart of Akko, her heart fluttered with anticipation. Jack had promised her a surprise, and her thoughts twirled with excitement, like a whirlwind of emotions.
The café's entrance chimed as Liv stepped inside, greeted by the warm, comforting scent of freshly brewed coffee. The familiar faces of her best friends, Joy Mark and Elizabeth Godwin, greeted her with exuberant smiles.
"Hey, Liv! You look positively radiant today," Joy exclaimed, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "What's the occasion?"
Liv chuckled, her cheeks flushed with a mix of joy and anticipation. "Jack has something planned. He's been acting mysterious all day, and it's driving me crazy!"
Elizabeth, her dark curls cascading like a waterfall of ebony silk, joined in the excitement. "Oh, Liv, you lucky girl! Jack's surprises are always the best. I bet it's something extraordinary!"
The trio settled at their usual corner table, their laughter filling the air as they sipped their coffees, a symphony of clinking cups. The atmosphere buzzed with the energy of a secret waiting to be unveiled.
Meanwhile, in a dimly lit room on the outskirts of Akko, Jack sat on the edge of his bed, wrestling with his thoughts. His mind had become a battleground, torn between his deepest desires and the foreboding warnings that echoed in his dreams.
Night after night, a witch named Elphabae haunted his slumber, weaving a sinister web of deceit. Her haunting beauty, with fiery red locks cascading like a fiery waterfall, masked the malevolence that lurked beneath. Elphabae whispered venomous lies, planting seeds of doubt that threatened to unravel the love between Jack and Liv.
The dreams were vivid and tormenting as if Elphabae had unravelled Jack's deepest fears and used them against him. He watched helplessly as Liv suffered cruel fates in his nightmares, her life slipping away with every breath she took. The weight of his torment grew unbearable, suffocating him with its relentless grip.
The words of his closest friends, Jason Moore and Julian Mark, echoed in his mind. They warned him of the consequences, urging him not to forsake the love he shared with Liv. But their advice collided with the vivid nightmares, creating a tempest within Jack's heart.
Driven to the brink, Jack made the heart-wrenching decision to confront Liv. He believed that by leaving her, he would save her from the grim fate that Elphabae had promised. With each step he took toward his beloved, a part of him shattered, knowing that his actions would inflict a wound neither of them deserved.
As Jack approached the café, his steps became heavy, as if the weight of the world bore down upon his broad shoulders. He steeled himself for the pain that lay ahead, for the agony of tearing his heart away from the one he loved.
Liv's heart skipped a beat as she caught sight of Jack entering the café. Her eyes met his, and in that fleeting moment, she sensed something amiss. A shadow passed over his usually vibrant gaze, and her heart clenched with a foreboding ache.
With bated breath, Liv watched as Jack made his way to their table, his once-confident strides faltering. Her smile faded as she sensed the torment etched upon his face, a pain she had never seen before.
And then, with words that would forever shatter their love, Jack spoke. His voice trembled, his sorrow seeping into every syllable.
"I'm no longer interested in this relationship, We should break up," he uttered, his voice heavy with agony. "I'm leaving town and I think this is what's best for both of us, so you can be okay. I can't give you the details right now, but I need to do this."
A gasp escaped Liv's lips, her hand flying to her chest as her heart shattered into a million pieces. Tears welled in her eyes, threatening to spill over and drown the world around her. The world that had once been vibrant and full of joy now crumbled into darkness, leaving her stranded in a desolate abyss.
"No, you can't leave me, do not," Liv pleaded, her voice choked with tears. "Life will be destroyed without you. We have planned everything, what will happen to me? How will I live without you? If you go, I will take my life."
Jack's eyes filled with anguish as he reached out to gently cup Liv's face in his hands. His touch once filled with tenderness, now carried the weight of his painful decision. "I have to do this for both our sakes," he whispered, his voice trembling. "I'm sorry, Liv."
And with those fateful words, Jack turned away, leaving Liv behind. The café, once a sanctuary of love and laughter, transformed into a mausoleum of shattered dreams. The air turned heavy with grief, as if the very essence of their love lingered, unwilling to dissipate.
Life, once vibrant and full of promise, lost its lustre. It became a mere existence—a body without a soul, a human without a heart. Liv was left in the dark, struggling over time, yearning for the love that had slipped through her fingers like grains of sand.
She turned to her friends, "Beth? did that just happen? Joy? Please tell me this is not real and I'm dreaming." Tears streamed from her face while her friends tried to console her.
"I need to go for a walk." She uttered.
"That boy must be crazy, what's he talking about leaving my girl like that? We need to call Jason." Elizabeth said. Turning to Joy she dragged her out of the cafe' both of them heading to Jason's house.Olivia wandered through the streets of Akko, she decided to walk to Jack's place, maybe she can still talk some sense into him. This must be a mistake, she thought.
Getting to his place she finds the place empty, and she breaks down in tears.
Her sight was lost to the beauty of darkness. Unable to taste the sweet flavours the day brought, she sought solace in the nightfall. Under the illuminated sky, the stars whispered tales of lost love and longing, their twinkling lights mirroring the tears that stained her cheeks.Swimming through the Valley of Life, she sowed seeds of darkness, nurturing the pain she carried for the heart she lost.
