{[ My mans made it! I rewrote this seven times to fit him. Oops. Nicky also got hungry 'cause I got hungry irl ahaha. Adding Quill was requested by a friend, hopefully his teachings to both Jason and Nick pay off for Rachel's sake. >.> ]}
Quill O'Bryan Crow aka "Bird" is 32 year old Assistant Commandant (And four-star general) of the USMC Force Reconnaissance. His squad is known as '5th DIVISION.' His call sign is Bird, hinted at by his last name being Crow. His team, under strict command of the Commandant for the USMC is to support raids, intel missions and carry out their own as requested with or without notice - they are to be ready at all times. They also help other Force Recon squads achieve success in their own missions. While his team was and is still known as an 'under dog' squad, they make quick work of their duty, commonly praised for their hard work and quickness to get tasks/missions at hand done in an efficient manner. Quill is one of the top marine's to ever serve the United States as a USMC Force Recon marine himself, along with his four other men - Jameson Bozzelli, Zubin MacLeod, Damon Thurloe and Bohdi Gomez, who is Joey's older brother. Bohdi was KIA during one of their missions because of false information/intel gathered that led them to a wrong place at the wrong time.
Their motto is and will always be "Celer, Silens, Mortalis," which means 'Swift, Silent, Deadly' and it's why his team rose the ranks as quickly as they did. They always back Semper Fi as anyone else in the military would as he remained loyal/faithful to his own subordinates and all Marines outside his division whether on missions, stationed or on base always showing respect where respect is due.
Under direct orders of his Commandant, Quill was chosen as one of the five Force Recon higher rank soldiers that needed to go into hiding - identity and everything. But, as most know him, he couldn't leave the USMC that easily and his demands to stay were met on strictly one condition alone, he and his team were no longer allowed to accept a mission ever again because of risk. Instead, they allowed him to stay on base, sometimes leading small, under the radar FMF (Fleet Marine Force) or Force Recon missions within the country, all being successful. He is also set to train new coming marines and his methods of training are rough. It was life or death (not actually) with no room in between. While most wouldn't agree with it, he was often met with defiance on the first day and those in charge of him bat an eye as it made "the best of the best." And that's what the USMC needed. They needed the best of the best to be successful. This eventually led them to victory in 2003 before the unfortunate events of the HoA happened.
Quills uniform consists of swamp and woodland camouflage which matched pretty well, an interceptor PASGT vest with a red 'X' spray painted across one of the pockets, his fatigue pants matched his vest, knee pads were bulked and black to match his black combat boots that were wrapped in boot traction chains. The most distinct feature of him was his mask that his woodland jacket attached to - a gray deer skull sewn to the hood of his jacket with rings drilled through the antlers as they held different colored feathers and a tiny bleached white bird skull. He had heavy duty straps and his utility belt held every tool in the book. His gloves if he chose to wear them were a deep pine color with dijon yellow index and middle finger accents. And, he sports the same shemagh as Jason.
The year 2000 is when he met Jason Kolchek, Nicolas Kay, Nathan Merwin, and Jose 'Joey' Gomez as a new set of Force Recon marines signed up (Quill is 29 at this time, in present day, he is two years older than both Nick and Jason as he is not deceased). Bohdi's death gave Joey a reason to sign himself up and he insisted on it. His application was denied only once but after signing up a second time, he was finally accepted. The rest was history.
