Rainfall

im writing this on the third last day of school if i can finish this and post it by friday i will be happy (as of 06/28/23)
I was inspired by the shitty air quality that completely ruined the day 😍😍🔥🔥

"Are you sure about this?" Rui asked, smiling awkwardly. He put his hand out to feel for any sudden raindrops that could fall.

Tsukasa blew a raspberry, waving him off. "It'll be fine!" He replied. The blond whipped out a small umbrella from his pocket, "Besides! I have an umbrella! Everything is gonna be fine!"

The tall purple- haired boy looked up at the grey sky, covered with dark rainclouds. "Well, who am I to not trust in my dear star?"

Tsukasa laughed loudly, saying something about being a star and trusting his director as he grabbed Rui's hand.

Oh, he's holding my hand..

Rui ignored the butterflies in his stomach as he chuckled, letting Tsukasa drag him to who knows where. He had told Rui during lunch to meet him by the gates after school, because he apparently wanted to show him something he thought Rui would really like.

However, because of the weather, Rui had originally tried to set it up for another date. It had been dark and gloomy all day since the morning, with dark, grey storm clouds covering the sky and blocking the sun. Occasionally, there would be a slight drizzle (which Rui enjoyed, it felt nice), but nothing too hard. However, throughout the day, the clouds seemed to be getting darker and darker, signalling that it would definitely rain. Rui just didn't know when, so he played it safe and asked to go another day.

Tsukasa, as you can see, didn't listen. That's why he's dragging Rui across the streets of Shibuya, headed towards Tsukasa knows where. He never told Rui where they were going.

"Don't worry, Rui!" Tsukasa called out, "We're halfway there! You're gonna love this place!"

Rui chuckled softly. "I don't doubt it. But this place is..?"

Tsukasa huffed. "A surprise!" He replied, "You don't get to know until we arrive! So this star will keep his mouth shut until we reach our destination, got it?!"

"Alright, fufu.."

In all honesty, Rui didn't exactly mind this. He would never turn down a chance to hang out with the love of his life, Tsukasa Tenma, after all. After the sleepykasa rooftop incident, his crush on Tsukasa has only grown larger by the day.

As the blond continued to drag Rui by the wrist, the taller boy took the time to think about things.

For example: He should confess soon.

And it's not like Rui is stalling because he's worried about Tsukasa not liking him back. It's just that.. he needs the confirmation that he actually does, right? Because if Rui confesses and Tsukasa rejects him, that would be extremely embarrassing.

..Actually, maybe he is a bit worried. Whatever, same situation, different ways of looking at it. Like the glass half empty, glass half full kind of thing.

The bottom point is, he needs to know if his feelings are mutual first, But how would Rui know that? How would he find out? Nene or Mizuki probably wouldn't tell him anything. They'd probably just tell him to go with the flow or something like that.

Rui was pulled out of his thoughts when Tsukasa abruptly stopped in front of a crosswalk and a turn. He backed up against the wall and turned around the face Rui, "Close your eyes!"

Rui blinked in surprise. "..Pardon?"

"I said," Tsukasa repeated, "Close your eyes! It's a surprise!!"
