After Cassidy's long day of training and preparing with Charles for the train heist after hearing him agree to the life she wanted and pretty much asking her on a full on date she was in shock for the longest time until Charles eventually snapped her out of her state of mind and let her body rest next to Charles in his bed in his tent.
The next morning Cassidy was woken up suddenly by the sound of thunder rolling in to the area which meant a storm.
Ever since Cassidy was young she hated storms, everything about them she hated her parents always comforted her until the storm was over, now, Cassidy had no one. But one person... Charles who was quick to wake up after he heard Cassidy wake up suddenly letting out a fast gasp of surprise.Charles put his hand on the back of Cassidy's shoulder.
She turned around looking over her shoulder to see Charles who had a concerned look across his face.
"Cassidy, you ok?" He asked in a soft tone.
"Yeah... yeah, I'm fine it's just... I'm not a big fan of thunderstorms, like at all." Cassidy reassured him.
"Well, your ok, you wanna talk about it?" Charles asked as Cassidy looked down at him and nodded lightly taking out a slow deep breath before speaking out about it to Charles.
"When I was young... with my parents... anytime a storm would roll through town and lighting could be heard striking in the distance I always woke up in a panic because of it, my parents always came into my room fast and calm as I would let out a scream or a soft gasp and they would comfort me... hold me close until the storm was over... and to this day I'm still afraid of them." Cassidy explained as Charles nodded.
Charles softly rapped his hands around her chest holding her close as the rain loudly pounded against the tent.
"Your safe with us Cassidy... you and I both know that."
"I know." Cassidy replied softly as the rest of the camp remained quietly sleeping.
"Just try to keep some sleep Cassidy we have to leave soon if we're going to catch that train." Charles said as Cassidy sat up turning over to look at Charles with a confused face.
"I thought we were gonna do it at night?" Cassidy asked.
"And we are, but before sunrise, so get some sleep and I'll wake you before we head out." Charles said as Cassidy sighed and shifted herself back into the covers trying to get rest as the storm continued on through the rest half of the night.
As Cassidy awoke she was surprised to 1, not find Charles still in the bed, and 2, that it was day.
"Fuck! I slept in! God damnit. Now what?"
Cassidy asked herself as she grabbed her gear putting her flannel on and walking outside of the camp to see most gang members that were going to be a part of the train heist doing tasks around the camp or just talking their way into trouble with other gang members.
But there's always an argument going on between Abigail and John and sadly there's no way to ignore their conversations or stop them from happening. It's a long story, one Cassidy didn't want to know. At least not yet.As she wandered around the camp she passed by Arthur's tent who wasn't their, most likely going off on another adventure of exploring or worse, then Cassidy saw Charles.
"Charles!" Cassidy called out.
He turned around setting down the axe as he was cutting wood smiling at Cassidy.
"Hey Cass, how'd you sleep?" Charles asked.
"Well, thanks. You mind explaining to me what's going on, you said last night that we would rob the train before sunrise?" Cassidy asked.
