◆◇◈◇◆"Welcome back to another season of 'Art of a Pack!' or A.A.P.! The show where all kinds of people in the entertainment industry are chosen to participate in a competition for one simple life-changing goal, to form a pack," the host beams at the camera. "I am your host, Choi Jaesung, and in just a minute, we will be introduced to this season's wonderful contestants. First, let's recap the show."
"Last season was a bit of a disaster that had a heart-warming outcome with the Seventeen Pack. After the first season consisting of 70 contestants, the number of contestants decreased by 10 each season. We've picked 20 people to compete, and it is with a heavy heart that I announce this season to be the finale."
Jaesung pouts. "So sad, I know, but with it being the finale, we have a new twist for the new contestants, but first, let's explain the aim of the game!"
"The goal for the contestants is to bond and form a pack within 4 months! A pack alpha is chosen from the beginning, and it is their job to choose who they do and do not want in their pack. They're given an entire week to bond with the others and at the end of that week, they choose their packmates. For the first month... none of the other contestants know who the alpha is, so they have to work hard to bond with every player. Once the month is up, there will be a monthly evaluation, and contestants are disqualified if they are consistently unchosen by a pack alpha.'
"There will be challenges and chances to strengthen bonds throughout their stay, and at the end of the competition if the pack manages to pass the final test, they win an exclusively designed pack house and $400,000!"
"For this season, we will choose 2 pack alphas instead of one!" Jaesung exclaims. "The object is to see how well controlled the alphas are during their bonding process with their pack while another alpha is in their territory. With that being said, let's meet our pack alphas!"

"Oh. Are we starting?"
'Yes, we're starting.'
"Oh okay," the alpha clears his throat, brushing his blue hair out of his face. "Hello, my name is Kim Hongjoong, an alpha, and I'm a 25-year-old fashion designer, rapper, and producer."
'Were you expected to be chosen as the pack alpha?'
"No, actually," Hongjoong chuckles shyly. "It surprised me. How could anyone look at a tiny alpha like me and appoint me as the pack alpha?" He lowers his head, a strained smile tugging at his lips. "As much as I appreciate it, I don't think I'll last long as the pack alpha once they find out it's me but I will try my best."
'Have you ever wanted a pack?'
"Yeah," he huffs out a laugh of disbelief. "Hasn't everyone yearned for a pack at some point in their life? As an alpha myself, I've always wanted that... security a pack could potentially hold. Right now, it's just me. I don't have anyone to turn to for... anything. I'm really hoping I can experience just a little bit of that bond."
'What are you looking forward to doing the most during this retreat?'
"Ah, that's a good question," Hongjoong sits back in his seat, hazel eyes glancing to the side. "Outside of bonding with others, I think I'm looking forward to the new scenery." He smiles wistfully. "The best of my creations come from my surroundings. I'm hoping I can create something to capture my stay here."
'Do you plan to seek out a mate during the competition?'
"Oh," he rapidly blinks his eyes in surprise. "I- No, I don't- That wasn't the plan but if something like that were to happen, I wouldn't ignore it. If it feels right, then it feels right and I'm never one to deny fate."
