Recommended song: Her Way by PARTYNEXTDOOR

The familiar club was as packed as ever, but even so, the crowd made sure to part for Vincent and me.

Or should I just say Vincent? The Boss's right-hand man.

The music was as loud as ever and the crowd was completely high energy.

It made me entirely eager to get some alcohol in my system.

It was easy to spot each cross tattoo marked on the back of everyone's neck, making me feel like I'm in some sort of parallel universe.

It was one of those pesky requirements that all Saints had to have—even me.

It made it that much easier to know who exactly you belonged to.

As we approached the bar, I could make out everyone completely, especially Noa, who managed to tower over everyone.

Noa was in the same outfit as earlier as she stood next to the familiar blonde—whose mere presence seemed to irritate me.

Kill me now.

Upon noticing Vincent and I's presence, Aliza and Noa looked over at us.

"Oh wow, look who it is," Aliza said, forcing her tone to sound cheery, earning a look of disapproval from Noa.

The clear rivalry between me and Aliza always seemed to annoy her.

Then again, I enjoyed getting on Noa's nerves.

I forced a smile, "Aw I know you've been counting down the days until my arrival," I said to Aliza, clearly being sarcastic as Vincent ordered us some shots.

Aliza's plastered smile grew, "Oh yeah, I definitely missed the bitchiness you always provide," she said as Vincent slid me a shot, mostly to distract me from the conversation with the blonde.

He knew where that conversation was headed.

I threw the burning shot back before grabbing the other one that was already filled, clinking it with Vincent's as we threw a second shot back.

Before I could finish my prior conversation with the blonde or even try to annoy Noa, Vincent guided us away from the counter.

"Let's dance," he called over the music, earning a few heavy nods from me.

Maybe then I could scope out some random woman.

As the music pumped harshly throughout the packed building, Vincent and I fell into our own separate dancing, nodding along with the beat.

After a few songs, I decided I needed another shot, causing me to leave Vincent—and his friends that had joined us—to head over to the bar top.

Surprisingly enough, Noa still seemed to be standing in the same spot, except now Aliza was gone and Noa was conversing with some of her closest mafia members.

Thank God, I didn't have to deal with Aliza, who thinks she runs shit just because she's in bed with Noa.

I swear Aliza's delusional—they've been sleeping together for years and Noa has never gone out of her way to make it serious.

And while that's fine, Aliza should at least know her place—which wasn't as a mafia boss's girlfriend.

Although, Aliza loved to act like she had that high status.

I waved the bartender over, who almost automatically recognized me, and grabbed a shot glass, filling it with the clear liquid.

"Let's slow down on the shots," Noa suddenly said, pulling away from her conversation with one of the random men.
