The next day, I got really for school again, the same schedule and routine as always, and as always, I'm not paying attention. I'm drawing a picture of the beach just sketching, not doing really anything because I basically finished it, then I see one of the popular girl's bags and decided to sketch that I'm almost done when there are shotguns in the hallway and the door automatically closes the teacher looks panicked snd then ran to turn the lights off thinking it was a psychotic person that escaped from the asylum just up the hill (I know smart right?) But that wouldn't make sense because it was highly garded with tall chain fences and brick buildings all around it stainless steel fences on the windows and doors and padlocks on anything sharp or whatever and we didn't hear anything from the newspaper or on television. Just then, a gard screams, and more shots were fired, and then everything went silent, just for a moment until there is a thup and a bloody handprint on the door window and a ugly face appears a couple kids scream while I just stare wanting to look away but I'm glued to my spot then it starts banging it's head over and over untill it starts breaking the glass when it shattered everyone went crazy screaming, running and crying, the teacher opened the window through all this chaos and shouted to jump out the window I was one of the last and the teacher didn't make it because she couldn't fit. Everyone went to the elementary school to get their little siblings or to their cars and got the hell out, but I went to find my older sister that was in the building with her new boyfriend's little brother Shane. Shane and Shaun (no, they are not twins) I broke the window by throwing myself and hurling into the window, breaking the glass and honestly that was not at all a smart idea because I got cuts all over my legs and some glass pieces in my skin some I was able to pull out but I just saved the rest for home I looked around not shouting because I saw people eating people!! I was about to throw up and/or cry, but when I heard my sister wisper my name ,kalma,kalma! Over here, " she whisper/yelled trying not to disturb the cannibals. She usherd me over and closed the door
"Where is Shaun? Shouldn't he be here he is his little brother" She shrugs and hands me Shane "I don't know...I'm getting really worried though he should be here and he wasn't at school today either...his mom said they've been feeling sick but Shane seems to be fine" she explains as she packs his things and turns toward the door "now we're going to get out of here but we need to be really quiet, ok?" I shake my head "ok,but before we do I wanna cheek on someone before we go" as I adjust him so he can hear my heart better and look at the door dreading what is to come and is what to be seen and what are we going to do with Shane? We don't have a car seat." She shrugs "we'll just have to be careful and you'll hold him in your lap while I drive and we'll go drop him off quick and go home and ask dad what the hell is happening, ok?"
"OK."
She opens the door and steps over the dead man, almost dropping his bookbag full of stuff, i was about to run back into the room when she gives me a sharp look and motions me to step over him. I comply holding Shane as tightly as I possibly can not wanting to drop him or for something to grab him we begin to walk to the exit when I notice something in ms.mint's room The door is wide open I tap  Khaleesi on the shoulder and point to the door as she cradles him in her arms and I walk in as I look around I find a bloody arm still pinkish I hear a moan and rush over and find my blade switch not doing enough damage but some, just enough to stun him to push him off I collapse ontop of her crying "she plays with my hair a little and smiles "kiss me again she trys to get up while I stop her and press my lips to hers massaging her tongue while I cry I get up and she can barely breath I can't ether I think I'm going to choke up I love her, I loved her and here she is just dying in front of Me she opens her mouth to speak but just coughs up blood I try to get her to save her breath but she just shakes her head "no I have something to tell you"as she starts a coughing fit again mostly blood some other things "your cousin is in a few rooms across from Me I want you to go I can't handle the pain in your eyes I love you but please if you really love Me you'll go.. " She looks at me with meaning in her eyes they're being to look glazed over and more glass like I shake my head not being able to find my voice "thank you..and shut the door too.." As she grabs for my hands we just sit there for a few minutes and she closes her eyes and smiles I let go of her hands before they go limp and run out the door closing it silently but tightly I turn around to my sister she gives me a sympathetic smile and offers me her hand and we head to the exit when Melanie runs up to the door and puts her innocent face up to the door pig tails and all I open the door and thier is barely anyone left just a teacher with a bite on her arm I hurriedly get her bag pick her up and leave closing the door and we head towards the exit we put the bags in the trunk and head off.
When we get to Shaun's house there are blood prints all over the windows, we don't even bother going in knowing something bad was bound to happen and having to toddlers that won't end well so we start heading to our House everything seems to be ok just some weird people walking weirdly with bite marks and scratches on them seeing as I'm not as stupid as I thought I was I stayed the hell in the damned car with the kids on my laps with my seat belt on and expechily around them.
"I'm going to go inside if I don't come out in 15 you move the kids off your lap, buckle them up,get in the driver's seat and drive the hell off,got it? I shake my head, and she gets out of the car, striding through the gate and into the house. Just seconds later, she comes out all bloody, and She looks traumatized, she slowly steps down the stairs, opens the door and gets in the car "I'll be right back I need to get car seats for the kids" I look at her for a second and she shakes her head as I get out to get the car seats I notice she is in no shape to be driving so I guess I'll be driving it couldn't be to difficult I mean I watched her do it so I wouldn't crash or anything. I shake my head and try to open our parents' car, I should have known better then to think it would have been open stupid thing was locked, so a got a brick and shattered the windows opened the doors and got a car seat, I picked it up and walked to the car opened to door and slipped the seat belt threw the carseat and got that settled put melanie in it, then I moved to the driver's side and opened her door of course melanie was awake now so that was easy the hard part was getting Khaleesi our of the driver's seat I tapped her shoulder but she was to spaced out so I man handled her out off the seat and opened the door and put her in closed the passenger door and the back doors and got the extra keys to the garage and it opened right up I got the car seat out and did the same cycle over again with Shane and then went off to dad's house, just a street down and see if they are home and safe, I was about to get out of the car when I notice Khaleesi has a scratch just above her knee and it's bleeding I'll have to get the first aid kit we keep on the kitchen and quickly cheek on mom knowing dad will be at work at the doctors office and as soon as I step into the kitchen I see mom hunched over and I quickly grab the first aid kit and our sleeping dog snowball as mom has a weird look in her eye likes she's going to eat snowball alive and bolt out the door seeing as she is not ok and is probably in one of her grouchy moods and go straight to the car putting her on the floor of the backseat and cleaning out the  mark putting hydrogen peroxide on and a cloth seasoning like dad taught us to do and heaput the key in the car and took off not knowing exactly where we're going but swearing never to come back.
