"Welcome to Camp Falcon where the summer fun has just begun!"

People began screaming excitingly their hearts out to the point that I can hear it here inside our car.

I boringly watched the marching band started their welcome number through the car window while my mom busy finding an empty parking space.

Beside me is my brother admiring the place with pure happiness visible in his eyes. A big smile on his face appeared that I can see my reflection through his shiny teeth.

"I'm so excited!" William, my brother beamed in excitement. He's just a ball of sunshine. He is the extrovert and I'm the introverted one.

"Totally not obvious." I huffed and looked at the outside again.

I saw some teenagers socializing with other teenagers, some crying saying goodbye to their parents. Ugh, it's revolting to look at them.

They're the thing I hate the most. I observed the whole area thinking how it would be draining for me to be socializing with a lot of people.

It finally sinked in that I'm far away from home, where my peace and comfort is. Where me and my books against the world.

I never really wanted to go in the first place.

"So..." My mom gave herself a retouch looking at us by the rear view mirror. "Are you guys ready to go?" her voice almost squealing. Seems she's much more excited than we are.

We exchanged a 'look' with my brother before he got out of the car first. I definitely hate it when moms do that.

I watched my brother automatically talking to a group of strangers and making friends within a minute.

"Look how cute your brother is." My mom looked at him with pure delight.

I heaved a deep breath and prepared myself to greet the hot summer air. However, my feet's contemplating whether I should or shouldn't set foot outside the car. I don't want go.

Maybe I can change my mom's mind and get away with this. I breathe in and out to calm myself down before I speak.

"M-mom, I think it's not a good ide-"

" Sol, we've talked about this. The answer is no." Before I could finish my sentence, she turned me down. My mom knew what was coming. She noticed making a frown.

She stored back her things to her bag and faced me. "Okay, give me a valid reason why you shouldn't stay here and come home with me."

My mind is blank. Why don't I want to stay at the camp? Think Souline, think!

"Because I don't want to!"

"Times up."

"What?! Mom, I just gave you the reason why!"

"That's not a valid reason, Souline. Now get your things off the trunk."

I rolled my eyes and got out of the car slamming the door. I took out my duffel and backpack and walked out without saying proper goodbye to my mom.

I know I acted like a b!tch but I hate being here. That's a valid reason but she's not going to understand me anyway.

But why do I don't want stay here in the first place? It's only for two weeks. Is it because of the people? There are quite many especially people around my age.
