After the fake death of Mario and Farrell, Mario couldn't seem to shake off the feeling of longing and sadness. He had always thought that he and Farrell had a special connection, something more than just friends. But as time went on, he realized that it was all just a dream. There was no relationship between them, and there were no Alex and David, no mothers with secret revenge plans. It was all just a figment of his imagination in his dreams.
It was a beautiful summer day, and Farrell and Mario were hanging out at the park, just like they always did. They had been best friends since they were kids, and nothing had ever come between them.
As they were sitting on a bench, Mario suddenly spoke up. "Farrell, I have to tell you something. I had a dream the other night that you and I were a couple. We were so happy together, and it felt so real."
Farrell looked at Mario, slightly taken aback. "That's... interesting," he said cautiously. "But you know that we're just best friends, right?"
Mario nodded, but there was a sadness in his eyes that Farrell couldn't ignore. He put his arm around Mario's shoulder, trying to comfort him. "Hey, it's okay. We'll always be best friends, no matter what."
Mario smiled weakly, but Farrell could tell that his words had done little to ease his friend's pain. They spent the rest of the day hanging out, but there was a tension between them that had never been there before.
As the days passed, Mario couldn't shake the feeling that he wanted more than just friendship with Farrell. He found himself thinking about their dream relationship all the time, and it made him ache with longing.
One day, he finally mustered up the courage to tell Farrell how he felt. "Farrell, I know we agreed to just be best friends, but... I can't help how I feel. I want more than that. I want to be with you, like in my dream."
Farrell looked at Mario, his expression pained. "Mario, I'm sorry, but I just can't give you what you want. I care about you deeply, but I don't feel the same way."
Mario's heart sank, and tears sprang to his eyes. "I understand," he whispered. "I'll try to move on, but it won't be easy."
Days turned into weeks, and then into months. Mario tried his best to put his feelings for Farrell aside, but it was hard. Every time he saw Farrell, he was reminded of what he couldn't have.
One day, Farrell approached Mario with a sad expression on his face. "Mario, I need to tell you something," he said. "I'm moving away. My family is relocating to another state, and I have to go with them."
Mario's heart felt like it had been ripped out of his chest. "No," he whispered. "You can't leave me."
Farrell took Mario's hand, looking at him with tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry, Mario. I wish things could be different, but this is the way it has to be. But no matter what happens, we'll always be best friends, okay?"
Mario nodded, too choked up to speak. As Farrell walked away, he felt a sense of loss that he had never felt before. He realized that he had been in love with Farrell all along, and now he was losing him forever.
In the end, Mario knew that he had to let Farrell go. They would always be best friends, but nothing more. As he watched Farrell drive away, he felt a sense of finality wash over him.
But even as he accepted that they would never be together, Mario knew that he would always love Farrell. He would always treasure the memories they had shared, and he would always hold a special place in his heart for his best friend.
As Mario walked away from the place where he and Farrell had said their goodbyes, tears streamed down his face. He knew that his dreams of a future with Farrell could never come true, but he couldn't help but hold onto.
