PEEJ ~ Car Ride

I haven't seen Peej all day. He's been on tour in Tampa and is supposed to be coming back in half an hour. He also told me that he was gonna take me out and give me a surprise. "You good y/n?" My brother Baylen asks. I nod and yawn. "I wanna see Peej." I tell him.

As if on cue, I hear 2 honks from outside. I run to the door and open it to see him. Me and Peej have been dating for only 2 months, yet it feels like we have been together forever. We match each other's energy, we can do anything together.

He told me to bring a blanket and pillow, so I put it in the trunk next to a box. I say bye to Baylen and Noah, opening the door to sit in the passenger seat. I see Baylen grab Peej's shoulder and point at him and give him a stern look.

BAYLEN POV:

I say bye to my little sister. As much as I want to protect her, I know Peej would never hurt her. I grab his shoulder and tell him "I know you love my sister. You know she loves you. I want you to protect her, and never break her heart." I say in a whisper voice so that it can stay between us.

I hear him say a quiet "yes sir" and walk off to the driver's side of the car, where they eventually drive off. I walk back inside with Noah to play some games.

YOUR POV

The ride is super peaceful, we played music and sang, there were also times we didn't talk but sat in a comfortable silence. We made it to a hibachi grill after hours of driving, funny quizzes, games, and more. We ate for half an hour and when we started driving again, we got hungry after 2 hours. We went to get some McDonald's and that's when Peej pulled into this field that showed a clear view of the pink and blue sunset.

He opened the trunk and pulled down the back seats, asking me to hold the pillow and blankets I brought. He took down the box and laid the blanket on my shoulder down on the seats. Then, he placed the pillows on both our sides. He pulled out wine glasses, 2 liters of soda, and a teddy bear. He poured the soda into the glasses and handed me the teddy bear. We sat down together, cuddling, enjoying the sunset in front of us.

"I love you," he murmured. "I love you too." I mumbled back.
