You don't tell her you have an injury

Y/n got home from a mission a few hours ago and she's been avoiding Shinobu since she got back, thankfully it's been easy due to Shinobu taking care of the injured and working in her office. Y/n didn't want Shinobu to find out she had gotten hurt during her mission, Y/n knew she would lecture her and she didn't want her to worry.

"Hey cutie, I see you got back from your mission" Y/n heard Shinobu say from the doorway of their room

"Yea I got back a few hours ago, I just didn't wanna bother you and I was a bit tired" she said looking over at Shinobu

"You don't bother me dear, in fact I would have loved to see you when you got back" Shinobu hummed, walking over to the bed, sitting down next to Y/n

She smiled, moving her head onto Shinobu's lap, trying not to wince at the pain from her side. Shinobu heard Y/n wince a little, she looked down at Y/n's side, her shirt had some blood stains on it. "Did you get hurt on your mission?" Shinobu asks sternly. Y/n shook her head, wincing a little again because her arm touched her side. Shinobu's eyes studied Y/n, more importantly her side.

"Let me see your side then" Shinobu said, looking into Y/n's eyes (I'm reading this as I write it and when I think about someone doing that to me, first response is panic just like Shit I've been caught anyways back to the oneshot)

"Uh I'm fine I swear" she panicked, Shinobu grabbed her chin "if your fine then you wouldn't be wincing and you'd be fine with me looking at your side" 'shit' Y/n thought, sighing she lifted up her shirt so Shinobu could look at her side. Shinobu looked at her wound, taking the bandages off. She grabbed her first aid from her bed side table and started cleaning and bandaging Y/n's side. Y/n winced as she did. Shinobu finished and put her first aid away "why didn't you tell me you were hurt" Shinobu looked into Y/n's e/c eyes

"I didn't want you to worry" Y/n sighed looking into Shinobu's beautiful purple eyes "baby I'm always worried about you" Shinobu smiled pulling Y/n closer, careful not to touch Y/n's side "mmm don't you still have some work to do it's only like 5" Y/n asked, snuggling into Shinobu. "It's actually 8 darling, I'm done with my work for the day" Shinobu said, playing with Y/n's hair. "Are you gonna lecture me?" Y/n asked glancing down at Shinobu's lips "maybe tomorrow" Shinobu laughed, pecking Y/n's cheek.
