I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off on my phone. I reached for it but it wasnt on my night stand. I must have fell asleep with it again. I sat up and tore up my bed sheets when I heard the thud of my phone hit the floor. I swung my legs around the side of the bed, my feet hitting the cold hard wood sent a shiver up my spine. I bent down to pick up my phone that was still buzzing and turned it off.
It was a Tuesday, August 9, another day of work.
I walked into my closet and picked out my Texas Road House unfiorm and slipped it over my head. I had been working there since school got out a couple months ago. I was a waitress, sure its not the best job in the world but its all I got. All my friends have left for collage already and I'm still at home.
I decided to go the university about an hour away from home so I still have time to spare.
I walk over to my dresser and look in the mirror. The girl staring back at me has dark blonde matted hair and tired looking blue eyes. I pick up my brush and start combing out all the snarels then put my hair into a poney tail. I cross the hallway into the bathroom wash my face with some warm water then put on a little mascara.
I dont cake on makeup because 1: I dont need it and 2: I'm not fake. My natural beauty is good enough. It actually is a little to much most of the time. You see guys fall for me all the time and I don't do it on purpose, I dress down, usually in some sort of sweats or some blue jeans and a plain old t-shirt, I dont like to draw attention to myself. Yet still guys follow me like I'm some sort of magnet or a piece of kryptonite.
I tried the whole boyfriend thing in highschool but it turns out they only want me for my looks and not for me. I check the time, 11:10, I jog down stairs into the kitchen. At the round wooden table sits my dad in our white kitchen, the warm sunshine coming in from the windows above our double sink and by our sliding glass door is enough light that we don't need to turn on our lights until late at night.
His laptop sits on the table while he drinks his coffee. I quickly go to the stainless steal fridge and open the freezer dawer and pull out a box of Eggo Waffles. I pull one out and plop it in the toaster.

"Good morning Sadie." He said not looking up from his computer.
"Morning dad." I said while chugging a class of freshly squeezed orange juice.
"Have you thought about what you want to do for your birthday this week?" "No, but I have to go I'm running late." I said quickly as my waffle poped out of the toaster. I ran around the island in the middle of the kitchen to grab it, then jogged over to my dad kissed him on the head and ran out to my car.
It takes me about fifteen minutes to get to work from my house so I speed a little hoping I get there in time, but my car is old and kinda slow. I finally pull into the parking lot around the back of the building for the employees, my boss doesn't like it when we park in costumer parking places.
After I find a spot I grab my bag and run in through the back door. I clock in at 11:29.
"Cutting it a bit close today aren't we?" I turn around to see a smiley Brandon. He is probably one of the most annoying people I have ever met, he's not to much taller than me with short blonde hair and little freckles dotted across his brown eyes. He's cute but his personality is a big turn off. He still acts like a sophomore in high school and it drives me to the point where I want to rip out my hair.
"Don't pretend like you care." I said to him. "And who said I was pretending?" He said stepping closer. "Knock it off Brandon I'm not in the mood today." I started to walk away when he poked me in my side, and made me jump when I say he acts like a sophomore I mean he really acts like a sophomore. "But you are never in the mood." He pouted.
"Its just because she's not ingrested." I turned to see my work friend Lily coming out of the kitchen with a big smile on her face at her choice of words.
She was about my same hight maybe a little shorter, with her black hair tied up in a pony tail.
"Ouch your choice of words hurt me Lily." He said putting a hand over his chest. "Even though what you say isn't true, I mean who wouldn't be intrested in this?" He motioned to himself.
Lily and I both raised our hands.
"You guys don't mean it, I am irresistible." Then he walked through the swinging kitchen doors.
"That kid is stepping on my last nerve, how do you suppose I kill him?" She joked. "I'm not sure, but call me when you have a plan I would be more than happy to help." I said putting on my black apron.
"Okay I will! Hey have you decided what to do for your birthday yet!"
"No not yet, I think I might have a small get together at my place."
"C'mon Sadie its your 18th birthday, this is the year where you become an adult you have to do something fun." She said.
"I just don't have time for fun these days." I said as I walked away to go seat some people.

It was almost closing time, it was a busy night and I had to stay to work longer since there was a game on and a lot lf people came to watch it on some of the t.v.'s that we had. I could leave as soon as I was done with the last group of people I was serving.
I brought a tray of food over to the table and set it down. Of course it was a group of men in their early 40's maybe. They whistled at me and one of them said "you can should home with me tonight darlin." And elbowed his buddy as they laughed. I said nothing and just walked away. "C'mon live on the wild side." He mocked and I kept walking. A few minutes later I brought them their check and told them that Brandon would be there cashier. I didn't say anything else and walked away with them whispering and whistling after me.
I looked to the corner by the bar and sitting alone in a booth was a man. He was starting at me but quickly looked in the other direction once he realized I found him looking at me. It kind of set me on edge so I hurried through the kitchen and to the back.
Lily had already left and everyone else was busy cleaning up, so I clocked out and went outside. I was walking to my car when I heard a bunch of laughter and saw the group of men coming for me. I could tell from earlier in the night that they were all drunk and they seemed even more so now.
I walked faster to my car and went to open the door when one of them slamed it shut. "Where are you going in such a hurry?" He said. "I'm going home now let me pass." I demanded. "She's pretty and feisty." He said and squoze my cheeks. I spat at him and hit him right in the face.
He grabbed my wrist and threw me into the circle of men "she needs to be tought a lesson." He said covering his nose which had started to bleed.
They all started walking toward me and pushing me around when I saw a black motor-cycle come from the opposite direction and screech to a halt. The men backed up so it wouldn't hit them and momentarily forgot about me. Some of them even fell over they were so drunk.
A man dressed in black with a black helmet on yelled "get on!" With out even thinking I ran to him and got on the back of the motor cycle and we sped away.

He drove me where I instructed him to go. Home. He didn't speak to me at all on the way, I had him drop me off around the corner to a random house because I don't know this person and I dont want him to stalk me.
I hopped off and thanked him. He gave me a nod them sped away. I walked through the back into the kitchen it was dark that probably meant that dad was in bed. I wanted nothing more than to curl up and go to sleep. It has been a crazy day. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow, and had dreams of a mystery motor cycle rider dressed in black.
