In the Arrowcave

Barry was doing pull-ups above the group as Newsman reported, "Lawyers for John Nickels spoke to the press today. They're pleased the DA declined to indict their client on charges stemming from the recent fire in one of Nickel's buildings."

Grunting, Barry said, "John Nickel is one of the wealthiest real estate developers in Starling City. He's also one of the dirtiest. That building that burned down last night? Wiring was not up to code."

"Maybe he didn't know that," Felicity suggested.

Tommy interjected, "I guess he also didn't know about the seven people who have frozen to death in his other buildings over the past three years."

"Yeah, he's a real man of the people," Diggle said sarcastically. "Hey, where are Ella and the kids?"

Barry dropped down, catching his breath. "Ella took Dawn to see her grandparents. They wanted to check on her, especially with a billionaire father."

"And Izzy?" Diggle asked.

Barry sighed. "She went with them. She wanted to be with her mom."

"Where's Connor?" Diggle continued.

"He's with Malcolm, maintaining appearances as Malcolm's partner. Cyberlife has been asking if I've been sending my Android to be Malcolm's partner, and I told them he is my twin brother. They said it was fine as long as he was helping," Barry explained.

"Wow. Okay," Diggle said, taken aback.

Barry continued, "And regarding Nickel being a man of the people, he won't be for long. The DA ignores this, and the police can't do anything because all these slums are in the Glades. Tonight, Felicity, we're crossing Mr. Nickel's name off the list."

Barry glanced at her, "You okay with that?"

Felicity, watching the news, saw the man on TV reporting, "The scene outside the courtroom where Nickel was released this afternoon was not surprisingly tense."

"One hundred percent," Felicity confirmed.

"Okay. Ollie, get suited up," Tommy said.

"You too, Tommy. Let's move, team," Barry commanded as he donned his suit.

At Nickel's Penthouse

Arrow, Marksman, and Archer dropped down from the rooftop, landing silently on the balcony. They entered through the sliding door, with Arrow leading the way.

Descending the stairs to the living room, Arrow quickly reached for an arrow. As they reached the bottom, he saw that Nickel was nowhere to be found. Scanning the room, Arrow noticed Nickel's belongings scattered around.

Marksman and Archer took in the scene.

"What the hell is going on? Arrow?" Marksman asked, bewildered.

"I don't know," Arrow replied. "What do you think, Archer?"

Archer examined the disarray. "He was taken. Look at how everything is positioned."

"Yeah, you're right," Arrow agreed. "Let's head back to the Arrowcave and update Felicity and Diggle."

"You got it, boss," Marksman responded.

The trio swiftly exited the penthouse.

At the Arrowcave

The three archers reported back to Diggle and Felicity about what had happened. Felicity asked, "He was just gone?"

"No, not gone. Taken," Tommy corrected.

"Looks like Nickel was on somebody else's list too," Diggle noted.
