König parks his car and walks to the bus stop where he promised to meet her. His heart is beating fast, and he's struggling to catch his breath. He is looking around trying to find her. And when a bus passes by, 

His heart drops. 

It's her. The girl from college. The girl standing right across from him. 

She looks beautiful. 

Its like seeing her for the first time.

He waves to her. She waves back.

Then she walks towards him with a smile. And when she stands in front of him, he can't help but melt.

"Hi."

"Hey."

She quickly hugs him, catching König off guard. But he isn't complaining.. He wraps his arms around her.

"I've missed you my little maus."

"I've missed you too"

She mumbles through his chest and looks up at him.

"Why did you take so long?"

He shrugs.

"I'm sorry meine liebe, did I get you worried?"

He holds her cheek softly, his cold touch on her skin. She exhales a laugh.

"Yeah.. Kinda."

He laughs too.

"What do you mean.. kinda? You weren't worried that I was on the battlefield?"

She shakes her head teasingly. König gasps offended. Then smiles.

Can't stay mad at this cute face.

His hand leaves her cheek and moves down to hold her hand. He sighs and kisses her hand gently.

"You've never left my mind, Schatz."

She smiles and nods.

He makes eye contact and suddenly his heart is beating faster.

"Your eyes are gorgeous."

She lifts her eyebrows.

"Why are you getting all cheesy?"

I'm more nervous with a girl than with a gun..

I'm so pathetic.

He smiles and shrugs.

"Why can't I?"

"Fair enough."

"Uhm. Can I?"

She tilts her head.

The grip on her hand tightens. His lungs and heart have practically stopped functioning, he can't think.

He brings his hands to her waist to lift her up.

He nods too. And brings her to his lips.

The kiss is sweet, gentle. Königs a bit scared that he might get too excited and kiss her harshly.

He brings her down to the floor carefully, and has her hand in his gently.

"Was that good? Are you okay?"

She giggles and nods.

"Yes König. I'm fine."

He looks down at the ground and smiles.

"Let's go, hm?"

König says while extending an arm for her to take. She accepts the offer and they walk back to the car.

"Watch your step liebe."

He looks down at the girl holding his arm in admiration. Taking in the features he was longing for months. Finally having her beside him once more. Finally having her to call his own. She's smiling below him, and he's the one who caused the smile.
