Your name is Maya Martinez and you were bitten by a radioactive spider. You're roommates with Gwen Stacey ever since you became Spider Girl .  You two have been fighting crime together and became close friends since. 

"I'm on your right!" I say to Gwen as we're both laughing and swinging around in Brooklyn. It's almost sunset. We have a tradition were we watch the sunset every Friday on top of a skyscraper.

We're sitting on the building and the view is amazing. I look over at Gwen, her face turns serious. "There's something I need to tell you Maya and it's not the best news." 

"What is it?" I'm scared. She's my only friend. The only person I feel fully comfortable around. I consider her family since i have none.

"We have to move away."

Oh that's not bad.

"To a different universe" 

i've known that there's other spider people and universes, Gwen told me about Miles (who i think she's in love with but not the point) and that she was stuck in his universe and stuff, but moving to an entirely different universe is just absurd. 

"What do you mean moving to a different universe? Wouldn't that be hard cause we would glitch out or something like you did in Miles universe?" I say.

"Well that's not exactly-" She gets cut off by what looks like a portal that appears in front of us. a  woman with a cool spider suit walks out. What is going on?

"Hey, I'm Spider Woman but you can call me Jessica." Jessica says while smiling at me. I'm so confused. Why is she here?

"I'm Spider Girl and you can call me Maya." 

"Yea I know who you are already. Gwen told me all about you." she put an arm around Gwen. Wait Gwen knew her? I feel betrayed, we tell each other everything.

"Gwen, you know her? " 

"I'm sorry, I didn't have a choice." She says looking ashamed.

"Look I'm just going to get straight to the point ." Jessica said. "Gwen and I are apart of the spider-society, we deal with anomalies, things that are out of order in the multiverse. Miguel who's a spider man, who created the spider society, wants to talk to you. so you're gonna stay with us for a little bit"

"Why would he want to talk to me?"

"I have no idea but we should go." We all walk into the portal. This is going to be fun.

That was a super weird experience. The three of us travel through the spider verse in just the span of 15 seconds. I felt super nauseous.

Once we're out i look around and wow. Spider people are everywhere and the place is beautiful.

"Spider Girl, this way." Jessica said, leading us to a very long hallway. I'm walking besides Gwen and she looks upset. 

"Gwen, are you okay?"

"Yea, just tired." She says with a fake smile.

"Okay we're here." Jessica knocks on the metal door.

The door opens by itself and we walk in. I see a rather muscular tall man standing by a desk surrounded by screens.

"Miguel, she's here so is Gwen." 

"Jessica and Gwen leave." Miguel says while turning around.

Who does he think he is telling them to leave? I don't even know who he is.

"What the hell? I don't even know you and you expect me to be left alone with you? Gwen is staying at least." I said. 

"Maya-"Gwen said but she was interrupted.  

"Oh so your the boss around here." He says with a smirk on his face. 

"You think this is funny? you know what, i was just told that i was moving to a different univer-" Suddenly my body starts to constrict and contort and just as it started, it ended. I hold on to a wall nearby to balance myself.

"Shit, we didn't give her a watch." Jessica mumbles. "Miguel, give her one." He hands me a white watch.

"What just happened?" 

"You just glitched, it happens when you're in a different universe, the watch makes the glitches stop." I put the watch on. Miguel gives Jessica a look for her to leave.

"Come on Gwen we'll wait outside." Me and Gwen smile at each other and she and Jessica leaves.

"so what was so important that Gwen said that we were going to move universes?" I ask Miguel. 

"You know how Gwen is also a Spider Woman in your universe right?"

"Yes?"

"It's impossible that there are two spider people that got bit by a radioactive spider in the same universe." He says with a very serious look on his face. 

"Well it's possible cause me and Gwen got bit by a radioactive spider in the same universe so."

"That's cause the spider that bit you was from a different universe." my eyes widen. he has to be  joking. i start panicking.

"What do you mean a different universe? What? How? Is this some sort of sick joke? How do you even know? What does this mean for me?" I start hyperventilating .

"Niña, calm down." He puts his hands on my shoulders and looks me in my eyes to tries to calm me down. I push him off of me. The audacity.

"How do you expect me to calm down when you just told me something that sounds so crazy? And don't call me that." Im so mad and terrified.  

"Let me just explain to you what's going to happen and don't have a panic attack okay?" He said sarcastically. I just gave him death stare, I can't with him right now.

"Since, you were bitten by a spider from a different universe, and we have a theory how, which has never happened before. We want to test your DNA to find out which universe the spider bit you came from and some other test's like what you're powers and etc. And we know it's you cause we tested Gwen already." 

"Okay I'm fine with that I guess. But, how does this have to do with me and Gwen moving to a different universe? Can't i just travel here like with this watch or something."

"You're the only one who's staying here. You're going to be living with me for a portion of the tests and-" What did he just say?

"I'm sorry? Living with you? No, I'm not okay with that. Be fucking grateful that i'm even letting you do tests on me in the first place. You know what, never mind I'm not fine with these tests. Goodbye. " I say as I start walking out. He suddenly grabs my wrist and pins me to the wall. 

"Look niña, i don't give a shit if you don't want to live with me. You have no choice. You're an extremely rare circumstance for you not to be tested on." He says to me with a smirk on his face. I try wiggling my wrist out of his grasp but he's too strong. 

"Let go of my fucking wrist right now and I said don't call me that." Im so pissed off. He leans closer right next to my ear and whispers "I'll let you go if you agree to do the tests and live with me." He's still smirking. I fucking hate him so much. 

"Fine."
