There's only one week before the Mushroom Kingdom Ball and Mario and Meggy were sitting in their thrones bored.
Mario: Meggy, I'm bored.
Meggy: Same, ever since we became King and Queen. There's barely been any time to train for splatfest even though we made it a rule that we could.
Mario: I'm sorry, Meggy. I didn't know that it was going to be this busy. But hey, atleast I replaced your crown with a tiara and yanno we can train right now, right?
Meggy looks at Mario confused and surprised but decides to tease him.
Meggy: I'm sorry, red. I didn't catch that, can you speak a bit louder please?
Mario notices her change of tone and chuckles then decides to go along with it.
Mario: I said: Yanno, we can train right now!
Meggy: *Chuckles* Nope, still couldn't hear you. Maybe, a bit louder.
Mario: I said: Yanno, we can train right now!!
Meggy: I can't hear you, louder.
Mario: *Clears his throat* I SAID: YANNO, WE CAN TRAIN RIGHT NOW!
However this was too loud for Meggy who along with the Toad guards put their hands on their heads.
Meggy: Ok, I definitely heard you that time....
Mario: Hehe, sorry Meggy.
Meggy: *Get her hands off her head* It's alright, Red. Just don't talk that loud again?
Mario: Okie dokie.
Meggy: And to finally answer your question. The reason we're not training right now is because someone might come in and say "Your majestys we have something to tell you or something like that." It's starting to get annoying.
Mario: Tell me about it I can barely go 5 minutes eating spaghetti without someone interrupting me.
Meggy: Hmm, Toad.
A Toad opens the door and enters the room.
Toad 11: Yes, your majestys?
Meggy: Are there any important events coming up?
Toad 11: Yes, there is one important event coming up.
Meggy: And what would that be?
Toad 11: It would be the Mushroom Kingdom Ball.
Meggy and Mario are shocked and blushes then look at each other but instantly look away.
Meggy: When is it?
Toad 11: This week on Sunday.
Meggy and Mario: This week?!
Toad: Yep.
Mario and Meggy blush even more while trying to themselves calm down.
Mario: Anything else we should know?
Toad 11: At some point you two are going to have to dance one on one with nobody else on the floor.
This makes their cheeks go extremely red as Meggy looks at the Toad.
