Karina paced back and forth in her small apartment, her heart racing with anxiety. She had been avoiding Winter for weeks now, ever since that awkward encounter at the restaurant and the park. Karina couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards Winter, but she had heard rumors about Winter having a girlfriend named Ningning. Those rumors had shattered her hopes and made her pull away, determined not to get her heart broken.

Little did Karina know, fate had other plans in store for them. As Karina walked down the bustling city street, lost in her thoughts, she suddenly collided with someone, causing both of them to stumble backward. Karina looked up, her eyes widening in surprise. It was Winter."Karina, I've been trying to find you," Winter said breathlessly, a mix of relief and excitement evident in her voice. "Can we please talk?"Karina hesitated for a moment, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She was still hurt by the rumors, but there was a glimmer of hope in Winter's eyes that made her pause. Perhaps there was more to the story than she had initially believed."Okay, let's talk," Karina finally agreed, her voice barely above a whisper. They found a nearby coffee shop and settled in a quiet corner booth. Winter took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts.

"Karina, I need you to know that the rumors about Ningning and me are false," Winter began, her eyes pleading for understanding. "Ningning is my best friend since forever. We've never been romantically involved, and I never had a girlfriend. It's all a misunderstanding."Karina listened attentively, her heart slowly opening up to the possibility that she might have misjudged Winter. She recalled the genuine moments they had shared, the laughter, and the way Winter's eyes lit up when they talked."Why didn't you clear up the rumors earlier?" Karina asked, her voice tinged with a mix of curiosity and apprehension.Winter looked down, her fingers nervously tracing patterns on the table. "I was scared, Karina. Scared of losing you. I didn't want to push you into a situation you weren't ready for. But I can't bear the thought of losing you without even trying."

Karina's eyes softened, and she reached across the table, placing her hand gently on Winter's."I didn't want to get hurt, Winter. But I can't deny that I feel something for you too," Karina admitted, her voice filled with vulnerability. "But I need to know that I can trust you."Winter nodded, her eyes shining with sincerity. "I understand, Karina. I will do whatever it takes to earn your trust. I want to show you how much you mean to me, how deeply I care for you."As their hands intertwined, a weight seemed to lift off Karina's shoulders. Maybe, just maybe, they could overcome the obstacles that had kept them apart. Their journey wouldn't be easy, but it was a chance worth taking. In the following weeks, Winter worked tirelessly to prove her love and devotion to Karina. She introduced her to her best friend Ningning, who warmly welcomed Karina into their circle. Winter made sure Karina knew that Ningning was nothing more than a sister to her, and that her heart belonged solely to Karina.Winter's also got to know Karina's other friends, including Gi, a vibrant and outgoing individual who had become Karina's closest friend during their college years and she's also karina's colleague. Although Gi was a genuinely kind-hearted person, Winter couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy whenever Karina and Gi spent time together. It was a feeling she struggled to understand and control, fearing that it might drive a wedge between her and Karina. One evening, during a gathering at Master Minho's martial arts studio, Karina noticed Winter's uneasiness whenever Gi joined their conversations. Sensing Winter's discomfort, Karina gently pulled her aside.

"Winter, is something bothering you? You've been acting a little distant whenever Gi is around," Karina questioned softly, concern etched on her face.Winter looked down, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. "I'm sorry, Karina. I guess I've been feeling a bit jealous when you and Gi interact. It's irrational, I know, but I can't help it."Karina reached out, cupping Winter's face in her hands. "Winter, trust is a two-way street. Just as you've worked hard to earn my trust, I trust you too. I chose you because of the way you make me feel, and nothing and no one can change that."Winter's eyes welled up with tears of gratitude, realizing that her fears had been unfounded. She vowed to work on her insecurities and to communicate openly with Karina, building a stronger foundation for their relationship. As time went on, Karina and Winter's bond grew deeper and more resilient. They faced challenges together, leaned on each other for support, and celebrated their victories as a couple. Their love story had its share of ups and downs, but their commitment to understanding, trust, and open communication carried them through.Karina learned that sometimes, unexpected twists of fate could bring two people back together when they needed it most. And in Winter, she found a love that was worth the risk, a love that would endure the seasons, just like their namesake.
