(Sry I got a little lazy, it's a long chapter)
Amanda woke up bright and early, kicking the sheets off of her body. She slid out of bed in her matching cloud pj's, rushing over to her dresser. Pulling the drawer open, lifting a clean yellow T shirt out of it. Then her casual blue shorts.
She swiftly got changed, slipping on her purple socks and yellow shoes. She just couldn't wait to get out in the real world. To smell that fresh air instead of this fake air they breath. No more eyes, no more creepy meet man. But then Amanda stopped midway velcro strapping her shoe.
What about the monster? Is it still apart of her? She hasn't felt its presence in two weeks. Maybe it decided to leave her alone?
With the questions a side. She finished strapping her shoe, then ran out of her room, joy plastered back on her face. She zipped to the end of the hall to Woolys room, skirting to a stop. She quickly knocked on the door five times. "Wooly! It's time, c'mon!" She exclaimed, clasping her hands behind her back with a smile. She waited for ten seconds, till she knocked again. "Wooly?" She said quietly. She pressed her ear against the door to hear at least some breathing or walking around. But nothing. Amanda shrugged, and turned the handle to enter his room. But once she looked in, his bed was empty. He didn't even bother to make his bed. Amanda had immediate confusion. "Wait what?" She said, as she swiftly turned around to walk down the hall and down the steps.
After she stepped off the last step, she had come to find Wooly at the stove top. His back turned to her. It smelled like he was making...pancakes? Amanda sniffed the air, smelling the cake like smell. Wooly's ear twitched, and turned his head. "Oh, morning Amanda! I'm making your favorite." Wooly said happily, while Amanda looked confused. Since when did he learn to cook? Amanda thought to herself, raising a brow. Amanda walked over to one of the chairs at the kitchen island, waiting patiently for her breakfast. But then remembered why she was looking for him. "Wooly, we need to find that camera." Amanda announced, cupping her hands together on the counter top. Wooly sighed. "A-Amanda, I think it's a little too early." Wooly said.
He really doesn't believe that they can escape here. But he still has some hope, all though he likes to think of the facts.
"It's 9AM! It's not that early." Amanda rolled her eyes. Wooly had to distract her. After he was finished with the pancakes, he slipped two on a plate and slid it towards Amanda. Her stopping it with her hand. Wooly untied and took off his apron, serving himself some pancakes as well sitting in front of Amanda. She swiftly started scarfing down the pancake, bite by bite. "After we eat breakfast, we're finding that camera." Amanda said with a full mouth, trying to finish chewing. "Amanda, I just don't think it's a good idea." Wooly sighed, cutting his pancake with his fork and taking a bite. "Wooly, don't you want to leave this place? Don't you want to be free?" Amanda asked him. "Well—I-uh-" wooly tried to speak, but Amanda kept going. "Don't you want to be happy? Don't you want to leave? I thought you wanted to leave too, why are you turning down this opportunity?" Amanda kept on bombarding him with questions, causing him to stumble over his words while he was trying to speak over her as she began to tear.
"Amanda..." that's all he could say, and he let his ears fall. "You're supposed to be my friend...not my dad." Amanda finished, letting a tear slip out of her eye and down her cheek. She only had half a pancake left, but she didn't care. She got up, picked up the plate, walked over to the trash and threw it away. Placing the dishes in the sink, Walking past Wooly purposely bumping into his back. Hearing a quiet grunt from him as Amanda marched upstairs, clearly angered. Wooly felt the guilt build in his heart. And if he was able to answer her questions, he probably would have said yes. She was right, he was kind of treating her like she was his child. When in reality they were just friends trying to look out for one another.
