A faint knock was heard from outside your room.
You stopped writing for a while and got up from your seat. You walked up to the door and open it.
It was Sunwoo. Your best friend.
"Sunwoo? what are you doing her—" You haven't even finished your sentence when he hugged you.
"Hey, you okay?" You asked but he only hugged you tighter. You hugged him back, patting his back to comfort him.
"Did something happened?"
As you held Sunwoo in your arms, you could feel his body tense with emotion. You gently pulled away from the embrace and looked into his eyes, concern etched on your face.
"Sunwoo, what's wrong?" you asked softly, your voice filled with genuine care.
He took a deep breath and tried to compose himself. "I... I just needed to see you," he admitted, his voice quivering slightly.
You led him inside your room, guiding him to sit on the comfortable couch. Taking a seat beside him, you reached out and held his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Sunwoo, you know you can always come to me, right? Whenever you need someone to talk to or if something's bothering you," you said, your voice laced with affection.
He nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "I know, and I'm sorry for showing up unannounced like this. It's just... I had a really rough day, and all I wanted was to be with you."
You couldn't help but feel your heart warm at his words. Sunwoo had always been the kind of person who kept his emotions to himself, so seeing him open up like this was a testament to the strength of your friendship.
"Sunwoo, you don't need to apologize. I'm glad you came to me," you replied sincerely. "You mean the world to me, and I'll always be here for you, no matter what."
He leaned his head against your shoulder, finding comfort in your presence. "Thank you," he whispered, his voice filled with gratitude. "I'm really lucky to have you as my best friend."
The two of you stayed like that for a while, finding solace in each other's company.
