The room was so silent I could hear my speeding heartbeat pounding, and I was sure Judith could hear it too. Would she accept? She was still standing motionless in front of me while I sat awkwardly on the dusty sofa. I decided to break the silence.

'So? What do you think? Will you help?'

She said nothing. More staring up at each other.

'I have one condition,' she said quietly.

My heart pounded faster.

'Yes?'

'I get to eat anyone I deem fit.'

I considered this, but I was doubtful.

'Yes...but as long as it's not someone we need or love,' I tried to say sternly. Judith narrowed her eyes, still not unfolding her arms.

'Deal.'

I sighed with relief.

'Good. Now we need to hurry, I have many more people to recruit.'

Judith scowled and then disappeared from my sight, she seemed to no longer be in the room.

'Wha...?' I gasped. I walked out of the room back into the corridor, a small figure was at the end of it in front of the vast door. I heard her chuckle quietly.

'Huh. Impressive,' I muttered as I walked towards her, she seemed to have a long black coat buttoned up to her throat on. She was fast.

'Why don't you show me what you can do, then?' She asked in a low voice. I gave one light laugh, shut my eyes and concentrated on the South Hill outside. I opened my eyes when I felt the wind blowing my hair about again. From the hill I saw Judith's cottage door open and her step outside. I zoomed my eyes in on her, she was looking around for me. I laughed and clicked my fingers, flames shot out of my hand. There, she should see that. It worked. The next second she was by my side again.

'Not too bad,' she said a little louder over the wind.

'Thank you,' I smiled. 'Now shall we?'

Judith nodded and asked 'Where to?'

'Tile Cottage, Ireland, it's a unique name, there's only one and you'll find it easily,' I answered. Judith nodded again, and I shut my eyes once more.
