" soooo what did you do last night" I ask
" nothing I just met up with some friends"

" anyways enough of me, so how is your bday so far ?"

" oh i didn't see him yet today, josh said he left early for work"
" on your bday ? No he would never do that"
I start feeling a bit more worried but I try to shake it off
" so how's work" I ask trying to change the subject
" it's good also did you find a job yet ?" She asks
" nope I didn't know it would be this hard finding a job"

Silence fills our conversation as she gives me a look

" he sent me to boarding school because he was too busy with work and because I was a nuisance not to mention you were obviously the only girl he considered his daughter I mean he couldn't stop spoiling you and you never got mistreated because Leo was always by your side but he never took a second to help me not to mention I was SENT AWAY TO GET MARRIED To a random business partner the second I came home oh and not to mention your mother was his only love and when she passed he was actually gonna throw me and Leo out to a orphan house because he only wanted to take care of his one love's treasure YOU" she starts crying and storms out the coffee shop as everyone stares at me.
Just what I needed on my birthday
I walk out the cafe and take out my phone and call Leo
" please Leo answer"
He doesn't answer and I head home hoping he would be there but nope
I decided to call josh
" hey josh where are you"
"I'm somewhere sorry I can't talk"
" please josh i have no one to go to"
"Listen Cleo I'm sorry to hear that but I'm actually busy I can't talk right now bye" he hangs up
I then take out my ice cream cake josh bought me this morning
I then put candles on And blow them And smile because I'm happy
Yeah weird, I guess it's just women things
I then start dancing to music and it turns into 10pm and still no one home I get worried and call Leo again
He still doesn't answer I then decide to do something that I wish I knew would be the worst decision of my life
I did a trick Leo taught me when I was younger and tracked his phone
I got a cab and asked the cab to take me there
" are you sure this is the right place you wanna go to at 10pm"
" yeah... why are you asking ?"
" oh well because it's a abandoned warehouse out in the middle of a field next to the docks"
" oh well yeah take me there"
" well that's a bit far from here and I don't know if I will be able to drive that far"
" I can pay extra please"
"Ok then"
As we are driving I get more and more worried And scared But I remembered something my father told me

We arrive and I get out and it's so dark I then walk towards the light coming from the warehouse as I'm walking toward it I get pulled into a bush
" owww" I shout and someone immediately closes my mouth
" CLEO WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE !?!??!" Josh says whisper yelling at me
" I got worried cuz I didn't see leo all day so I came"
" I'm not even gonna ask how you got here"
We then both huddle next to each other behind the bush and I look over the bush to see a familiar face

" what is Lia doing here ?"

We watch her talk to a random guy dressed in black for a few min
After a few min we see a car approaching From a far driving towards the warehouse
" it's a set up shit" I see josh putting his hand in his hair looking stressed as if something big is about to happen
" oh no no no"
" what" I ask him
" Lia could die right now"
" whattt, then why is she just standing there tell her to get over here"
as I'm about to get up to go call her Josh pulls me back down into his arms and I look over to see a bunch of guys approaching
" Cleo we can't do anything because if we do then we all are dead" he looks at me as I'm sitting next to him on the ground and he then continues to push me to the ground as hes lying partly on top of me next to my side and I can't see anything but hear footsteps next to the bush we are hiding behind.
