I woke up with a throbbing pain in my head, and a burning in my throat.  What happened in here?  Things were broken and the window was open in my room.  Then it hit me. Everything  came back to me all at once. I cried out for Maggie, maybe 30 times or more searching the house, even though I knew the strange, creepy man had taken her away from me.  I started to sob, uncontrollably.  I just let my little sister slip through my fingers.  I tried to gather myself, and remember everything that had happened.  I went through the house collecting every detail  I would need to get my sister back.  I tried my phone again but it wouldn't connect to the Internet or make a call.  There was a weird, dark, orange shade of sky tonight.  Why was everything so weird tonight?  Was some crazy phenomenon happening, and were Maggie and I not aware?  I decided I was going to look for her, so I packed a bag with the essential things I would need that my dad had taught me I would need in any emergency.  I walked out the door to find Maggie's shoe and her necklace.  She must have lost it when she was being attacked by this man.   I started running in the direction of the police station towards the front of town it would take me awhile, but we didn't have car since my mom went out, or disappeared.  I was scared.  I was all alone, and everyone was gone.  I felt tears stream down my face every few minutes as I ran as fast as my legs could take me towards town.  I arrived maybe 30 minutes later, only to have my heart drop to my stomach, to what I saw in front of me.
