The next morning Scarlet was in the kitchen chatting with Swiss. He was up early that morning probably because there was a guest in the house.(or the ministry)

"Speaking of which" he stoped then continued "you slept with Rain last night?" He asked

"Yea, yea I did. You told me to stay with him didn't you?" She answered back

Swiss has a smirk now plastered on his face. One look Scarlet immediately noticed what he meant by 'slept with Rain'.

"NO NO NOT LIKE THAT" she screamed trying her best to explain it to him. her face was covering by her hand from embarrassment.

Swiss let out a laugh before saying "I know I'm just messing with you"

She hit him playfully in the arm which made Swiss put his hand to his heart to do a fake hurt expression.
She responded to this by saying "well you deserve it for messing with me" then let out a chuckle.

"So what happened to rain?" He asked

"What do you mean 'what happened'?" She asked back

"I mean where is he. His usual up by now"

"I don't know. When I left he was still peacefully sleeping."

"Well are you going to eat your breakfast or can I have it?"

"Oh hell no!! It's my food" she growled

Scarlet immediately started to eat as she hadn't touch her food yet.

"Alright I won't eat it. Slow down or  you'll choke on your food"

Immediately after Scarlet start cough. Swiss gave her a glass of water I hopes that it will help. Thankfully for him she stoped coughing.

"I will hit you if you say 'I told you so'" she warned

"Well ok then I won't"

"Your words have powers you know" she said jokingly

"Well I didn't know that now I know. I just tell em they will choke and they choke" he said with a bit of sarcasm in his voice.

Scarlet just rolled her eyes on him. Moments later Rain walked in. He looked around looking like he was looking for someone or something. His bright blue eyes landed on Scarlet as he proceeded to walk to her.

"Good morning" he greeted

"Good morning to you too" she greeted back

Breakfast went smoothly as the other ghouls came eat and left. They all headed to the common area to have more privacy then they talk. Scarlet was quick to notice that the people who she was staying with was definitely not human.

She noticed their eye color. Those colors are not normal for a human. And their pupils they look like that of a cat only a bit rounder.

They seem to also have horns but dispute the things she noticed she wasn't scared. Not one bit of fear was in her.

It made her feel like she was home like she was with her own kind. But that doesn't make sense as she is a human and they definitely are not.

"What are you?" She finally asked

The people in the room froze from the question. they were all afraid that she might fear them if they tell her the truth so they lied. They told her they are human but she didn't believe them. She knew that they weren't. She knew that they were scared that she will fear them.

She reassured them that nothing will change between them even if they are not human. So they did or well Aether did since no one was brave enough to do it

"We are ghouls" he said

"That's the purpose of the mask to hide our faces from people so they won't fear us." He added

She didn't speak. she stayed silent. Everyone looked at her worries filled them as they waited for her reaction. But none expected what she said next.

"A ghoul so that's was it is. That's nice"

Everyone in the room sighed in relief all their fear and worries quickly vanished from them instead was replaced with happiness that they where accepted.

She smiled brightly at them but Aether noticed something was different about her. He got worried her once gray eyes now a very light color.

It was tinted a light blue. It looked almost silver. He thought maybe he was imagining it.

Unaware that he zone out while starting at her eyes. As well as unaware that Scarlet was calling him.

After a good while he snapped out of his thoughts and back to the read world. The first thing he saw was Scarlet snapping her fingers in front of his face.

"Hello earth to Aether" she screamed trying to get his attention.

"Oh yeah yeah sorry sorry I zoned out." He franticly apologized.

"It's fine but if it's not personal may I ask why exactly did you zone out. And you zoned out while starting at my eyes. Is there something in my eyes?" She asked

"Oh no don't worry it's nothing personal. Sorry if it made you uncomfortable. There's nothing in your eyes it's just..." He pause "remind me what was your eye color before?" Continued

"Um it's a dark shade of gray almost black why?" She asked back.

"Well your sure they weren't a lighter color"

"Nope they definitely are not a light color."

"Well it's because your eye color now is a light blue gray color"

"....."

Well I'm done lol
