Ochako wasn't sure if she could keep down a meal, her stomach churning violently with anxiety. Everything could go wrong and end with either her death, or worse case scenario, the death of thousands. All because she failed.. worried thoughts buzzed around her head like bees from a kicked hive.Taking a breath, Ochako grabbed an orange from the fruit basket on the counter and walked back to her room.
The gravity hero grabbed her drawstring bag and put on her shoes before exiting to the balcony. After tucking the orange under her arm for a moment, Ochako floated herself down to the ground. It was slightly bright outside, the sky was a burning red color, slowly fading to a dark purple. The street lamps hadn't kicked on yet, so Ochako blindly hoped she wouldn't run into any guards in the dim light.
Once she successfully made it to the fence, Ochako floated over, gracefully landing on the other side. She was getting increasingly better at hopping U.A's stone wall. Beginning the walk to the park, she began silently eating the orange in her hand.
Now it was nothing like the dormitory. Back there, Ochako was nervous but she had the safety of U.A's security forces and four walls around her. Out here though? She only had herself to watch her back. It was a disturbing thought that wouldn't leave her alone. That any second Toga could decide that Ochako wasn't worth the time, and take her out. And we aren't talking about dinner..
Ochako arrived at the park at 7:34pm. She had left early due to her constantly churning stomach, which was now feeling like a tornado spinning around her abdomen. The gravity hero sat down on the same bench she'd been at last night when Toga had shown up. Putting her head in her hands, she let her thoughts drift and considered what to do.
The fact that Toga was coming back meant Ochako was worth the work, right? So it was likely the League was scouting her, or at the very least, they were curious. She was messing around alleys and asking about their name, maybe that made them angry. What would she do if Toga was here to kill her? Obviously fight back, but could she win?
Ochako sat up with a sigh, overthinking was never good for anyone. A dark figure beside her on the bench made Ochako jump up, ready to fight. Who-?
They didn't attack her, so it was probably just a civilian.. that almost got punched. This was really putting her on edge. The streetlights were still off, but as the clock struck 7:45pm, they all clicked on.
Suddenly the park was bright, and after closing her eyes for a second, Ochako opened them again. Once she saw who was there, the gravity hero relaxed her fighting stance. She didn't feel safe, not by any means, she just didn't want to make a bad impression or cause a fight.
Toga sat on the bench still, seemingly unbothered by the fact that Ochako took a fighting stance. She was looking towards the stars, before turning to Ochako and flashing a smile. "You looked a little busy, so I waited."
"You startled me." Ochako muttered at a hardly audible level as she scanned the surrounding area. She could vaguely tell that someone was looking at her, watching from somewhere past the tree-line. Toga seemed to follow her gaze, looking curiously in the same direction.
"Those are just my friends." The blonde girl said in an almost reassuring tone. The statement, whether true or not, wasn't very reassuring to Ochako. The gravity hero still stood beside the bench, nervous to sit back down. Maybe asking a question would ease the nerves.
"So, why did you come back here?" Ochako asked, meeting Toga's eyes. They were a bright yellow with cat-like pupils, probably how she saw so well in the dark.
"Cause you're a traitor, and I wanna know why." Toga said bluntly. Ochako wasn't quite sure where to take her story now, this part was set in stone, but she could freely change the rest. After thinking for a second, she sat back down on the bench, tension was thick in air.
